    From a poster on NFLDraftCountdown.com

Only 46 posts on NFLDC, but here's his post. Read from it what you will. I'd kill someone if we traded the #6 pick for him, but I'd gladly trade a 2nd rounder and whatever we can get from DRob.

Can they deal Anderson, considering he just signed a contract extension?

This info along with a little bit of others is starting to make me believe that we may just go the Matt Ryan route however though.

if we are dead set on QB this year, I would prefer Brohm, or Flacco to Ryan. I just don't get that feeling that Ryan is in control when watching a game. I get that feeling when watching guys like Brady, Manning, even Vince Young to an extent. Guys like Montana, and Young had it, I just don't think Ryan has it. not saying he would be a Ryan Leaf style bust, but he certainly would get boo-ed off the earth by this board. Look at what we did to d-rob and D'brick, neither are all-stars, but they certainly can hold their own, chances are they won't ever live up to their draft position, but they certainly aren't all time busts. Also if ryan plays in a game this year in NY and he loses it, whether he played well or horribly, half the people will be calling for the heads of Tangini because the bastard didnt win. and so Ryan will bust out before getting a fair shot. Look at Clemens, can you really say he was put in the best possible position to win last year and failed? I can't, so I think he gets this year to prove his worth, if he flunks out, we will be at the top of the board again, in position to draft the next franchise QB.

I wouldnt do it. Anderson is a big QB with a rocket arm but he throws way to many interceptions... Not worth our 1st rounder.

Not that I'm going to look too much into this rumor, but chances are it would be a swap of the our 1st round picks and Anderson for maybe one of our 4th round picks...something like that anyway

    1) I'd rather have Matt Ryan.

    2) I doubt somebody who just got an internship with the team would have inside information on their trade discussions.

Browns don't have a first (or a second, or a third).

I just don't see this happening. There was 14.5 million guaranteed in that deal.

I don't know how much of it is signing bonus, and how much of it Cleveland is responsible for. In most cases most.

The Browns would have to eat a lot of cap in this deal I suspect

Well if we have to use our first rounder on a QB I prefer anderson to Ryan... plus we only give up #6 as opposed to multiple selections. Anderson is not that much older, and Anderson can obviously play in the NFL but we know nothing about Ryan's ability at this point. They would cost about the same, Anderson most likely being cheaper, so really, I think if we have to take one of them, take Anderson. But that is just my opinion.

    Anderson sucks...

Real keys to the Browns O is Edwards, Winslow, and that sick O-line.

    I agree

i think Anderson is going to have a difficult time repeating last year's #'s.

Be on the pine in 09

Only a 3 year contract, but 14.5 million is guaranteed

    I totally agree on no.2.

However, I dont know why this board disagrees with Derek being a first round trade. The Browns were a 'dead' team and Derek was the one who lit em up. Now a days, its very easy to find starting QBs in the first round...rite? I would give up that pick in a blink of a second. Anderson is a proven QB and he will only get better. You guys are telling me you would spend a first rounder on an unproven QB than a proven QB? There are far too many busts in QB, especially at the QB spot. Ryan Leaf, Akili Smith, Harrington, Carr to name a few.

If Anderson was not worth the 6th overall, would'nt he be in NY rite now?

Besides, this is probably the biggest rumor. Browns would take a big salary cap hit doing so even if Jets offered the first and the second.

And an intern had the news, and the analysts did'nt?
