Actually Tom Hammond was one of the better announcers for years when NBC was doing the AFC games. Gumbel would be pretty good if he went back to the pregame halftime gig he used to have.
Bryant Gumbel was awful on NFL games. I think they used his games as an alternate torture to waterboarding.
