"To be honest with you" Damn he must have said that ten times during that interview haha

Seems like a "Mangini" Player. Lets hope he can help us win some games next year and in the future. Im excited to watch him play in green and white.

Good to see, thanks a lot. I didn't know too much about Jenkins' personality before, but now I have some what of an idea. Sounds like a nice guy that loves the game and could care less about the glory. I think he will be a great addition at the nose if he can only stay healthy. Sounds like he is happy to be a Jet as well.

I've never seen this show before because I don't live in New York. I must say that the interviewer was pretty annoying.

    well, he's honest....

he looks really intelligent and mature... very real as far as understanding what his job entails. He even mentioned that if everyone is getting the glory he's fine with it. He even knows that his job isn't the hardest in the world, which makes me think that he likes his new job alot. He will put a fire under peoples ass if they don't do their job. Intensity is apart of who he is. Love of the game... "Play for free"--- ehh i don't think anyone would play for free. I love my internship to death, i love the grunt work at times....... but i'd love to get paid.

That man is gigantic. Jenkins seems like a good guy for any organization. I hope he is able to clog up the middle and really anchor the D.

well, to be honest with you, i think he's got a great attitude. let's hope he carries it over to the season, and is the vocal leader he's made out to be.
to be honest with you, we need some firey leaders.

Yea he is... i was thinking the exact same thing as soon as it started. Now that guy can be classified as a man castle. He made the interviewer look like a third grader. :eek:hmy:

he seemed smart and considerate. He wasn't afraid to disagree, but he gave meaningful thought to each question. I am moer excited about his addition than I was ten mintues ago.

I thought this was interesting from this morning's Monday Morning Quarterback from Peter King of SI:

Jon Gruden on Carolina DT Kris Jenkins leaving the division in free-agency for the Jets: "I did some celebrating driving down Dale Mabry [highway in Tampa]. I gave Eric Mangini the biggest hug I've ever given a coach and told him, 'Thank you. Good God, do we appreciate you taking that guy out of our division.' ''

Maybe a bit of hyperbole, but Gruden knows a bit more about Jenkins than someone like Prisco, or John Clayton.

Lol, I can't watch the youtube link from work but did you guys expect him to be tiny?? Of course he's huge :)

Still, I didn't expect people to comment on how well he seems in terms of his attitude. I guess a nice windfall of signing bonus money can do that to a person. I really hope he becomes the key driving force to our defense this year. We finally have that run stuffing NT we've been craving since mangini got here. No reason we shouldn't be a good defense this season.

The one thing he said that got to me was that he has a reputation for NOT MOVING.

I do like that a lot.

He was honest with us 7 times, he just kinda bunched them together.

I'm getting excited, can't help but think he would rejuvenate DRob if they played them next to each other.

Whaddya think Jenkins is weighin in at? 370?

To be honest with Kris Jenkins, he better not get used to talking to the media.

He got in a lot of trouble and started to get in bad terms with the Panthers organization because he couldn't keep his mouth shut.

to be honest with you he's a much better speaker then we're giving him credit for. i didn't hear him say one "like" or "ummm" in the whole interview. he seems like an intelligent man i'm glad we have him.

I read somewhere when we got him that he actually scored better than Chad on the Wonderlic.

Seems like a great guy. Loved the trade when it happened and still love it.
