imagine all those poor bastards who fought with that rancid opening day bullshit traffic, sat at the stadium for two hours in the rain, and now have to go back and fight with the traffic getting out of there...all for nothing. First month of the season in the north east sucks monkey balls weather-wise

I suppose there may have been one but I can't ever remember an opening day rained out in NY. I think I remember one snowed out and maybe one postponed for cold but never for rain.

Actually, it's good it was rained out. I didn't realize it but just read this.

"The rainout means there still has never been a regular-season game in March at Yankee Stadium."

Not the time to change tradition in the old stadium now.

I knew there was a pretty good dtring going bit this is better than I thought.

"The Yankees have won 15 of their past 16 home openers and 21 of 24."

Apparently Latroy Hawkins took #21. Cue angry Yankees fans who love Paul O'Neill.

Bleh. There's no reason to bitch. Paulie was a great player, and a key to that title run, but he should never have his number retired as a Yankee.

So are we ever going to actually see a pitch in Yankee Stadium this year?
