I suppose there may have been one but I can't ever remember an opening day rained out in NY. I think I remember one snowed out and maybe one postponed for cold but never for rain. Actually, it's good it was rained out. I didn't realize it but just read this. "The rainout means there still has never been a regular-season game in March at Yankee Stadium." Not the time to change tradition in the old stadium now. I knew there was a pretty good dtring going bit this is better than I thought. "The Yankees have won 15 of their past 16 home openers and 21 of 24."
Bleh. There's no reason to bitch. Paulie was a great player, and a key to that title run, but he should never have his number retired as a Yankee. So are we ever going to actually see a pitch in Yankee Stadium this year?
