    ROUND 1
    1. Miami Dolphins: Chris Long DE/OLB-Unless something crazy happens the phins should choose Long over Matt Ryan. Long is probably the safest pick in the draft and its not like Ryan is Manning coming out of college. Long will be that rush SOLB to replace Taylor when he eventually leaves. Jake Long could be a possibility but they could choose a really good LT later.

    2. St. Louis Rams: Jake Long OT- Jake Long I so much better than any other OT in this class. But Vernon Gholston did have a great combine and is physically a freak of an athlete. The Rams also could be a switching to a 3-4 soon and he would be perfect for that. But they really need an OT, Pace is injury prone and Barron hasn’t really panned on.

    3. Atlanta Falcons: Sedrick Ellis DT -Atlanta needs a QB more than anything but the difference between Ryan and Brohm really isn’t that big like many people make out to be. In my opinion Brohm will be a better qb, but anyway realizing this Atlanta could get a great DT and a great QB in the same draft. Worst case scenario Tampa gets Brohm and they can get either Henne or Flacco in the second.

    4. Oakland Raiders: Vernon Gholston DE-Really thinking about I mean really thinking about choosing McFadden would be really dumb, I mean the Raiders literally have like 4 RB’s who have either started or having starting potential. Even in they cut Jordan that still leaves them with Justin Fargas who had a breakout year, Rhodes who they have invested money in and Michael Bush a first round prospect who fell to the 4th because of an injury. They have the chose between Glenn Dorsey and Gholston. With a DE, DT and OT being there biggest needs I think they could still get a great OT prospect with their early 2nd round pick. Gholston should be the pick at this point in the draft he is the much safer pick than Dorsey with his knee injuries.

    5. Kansas City Chiefs: Ryan Clady OT Glenn Dorsey DT – At this point I see the Chiefs trying to trade out of the top 5 like hell. The could talk to Dallas which im weary of but remember they are not threat to draft McFadden plus #5 money is a lot less than #6 money. If Anybody is gonna trade for McFadden its gonna be with us. So they stay put and just draft Clady.

TRADE-New York Jets send #6 overall pick to Dallas for #22 overall,#28 overall ,3rd Rounder and LB Bobby Carpenter . Our pick is worth 1600 points, their 2 1st rounder’s only add up to 1440. A 3rd and Bobby Carpenter, who the Cowboys have been trying to get rid of, should make up the rest.

    6. Dallas Cowboys (from NYJ): Darren McFadden RB- This is where the fun begins, the popular chose with a lot Jets fans would be to pick McFadden. I mean they are gonna yell his name out over and over again in the building. I have no problem with McFadden he is the best RB prospect in the draft. I do think Mendenhall’s overall game is better but for right now McFadden is the guy u have to choose. BUT the Cowboys are loaded with picks and Jerry Jones has promised that a big player is gonna be added to the roster. No Randy Moss, no Javon Walker, no Pacman Jones (yet). Who could Jerry be talkin bout, well his alma mater’s own D-MAC. Dallas does have some key needs on the o-line, WR, and at CB. Well Pacman Jones, if he is reinstated will be a Cowboy it seems Jones doesnt have any problem bringing in the Pro Bowl corner and wr help or O-line helped could be later on in the later rounds. McFadden to Dallas hasn’t come from anywhere someone on the inside must have leaked Jones being enamored with McFadden. And all of this Jones not wanting to trade up, well that’s just to put the asking price down. New England with not many needs would choose McFadden no problem or try to trade with them as well if we pass him up. We have to force the Cowboys hand its either McFadden for us or them.

    7. New England Patriots (from SF): Leodis McKelvin CB- New England would usually trade in this position but the only ting they got is possibility of Ryan being chosen. Right now I don’t see anyone trying to help the pats out or try to get Ryan at this spot. Maybe the Bears or but they have too many needs. With that they have a chose between McKelvin and Cromartie. McKelvin is the safer pick so I expect than to pick him.

    8. Baltimore Ravens: Matt Ryan QB-The QB of the future is chosen here. The Ravens might be tempted with Cromartie here but they shouldn’t expect Brohm to be there in round 2. I don’t really know why but Matt Ryan is considered to be the best QB in the draft. He doesn’t really wow u with his arm or accuracy but he does have great intangibles. Kind of reminds me of Eli Manning not really great at anything but has a great feel for the pocket and throws very well on the run.

    9. Cincinnati Bengals: Glenn Dorsey DT - Glenn Dorsey WILL fall in this draft but this is as far as he falls knees have suddenly become with a big problem in the NFL. With no one wanting to trade for our own D-Rob and Cleveland Browns CB turned safety Gary Baxter not playing for about 2 years with his injuries, a knee problem could shy a lot of teams from choosing him. But he is too much value for New Orleans to pass him up.

    10. New Orleans Saints: Keith Rivers OLB- With all of the linebackers the Saints have added they still need more help there. Vilma is solid in the middle and Morgan could play on the outside when healthy but they cant solely rely on Morgan panning out and being healthy from here on out. Rivers would be a perfect fit and would help that defense out tremendously.

    11. Buffalo Bills: Malcolm Kelly WR
    12. Denver Broncos: Kentwan Balmer DT
    13. Carolina Panthers: Chris Williams OT
    14. Chicago Bears: Jeff Otah OT
    15. Detroit Lions: Rashard Mendenhall RB
    16. Arizona Cardinals: Dominique Rogers-Cromartie CB
    17. Minnesota Vikings: Phillip Merling DE
    18. Houston Texans: Mike Jenkins CB
    19. Philadelphia Eagles: Carl Nicks OT
    20. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: DeSean Jackson WR
    21. Washington Redskins: Derrick Harvey DE
    22. New York Jets (from DAL; CLE): Kenny Phillips S- Value pick really he is by far the best safety in the draft and well it may not be the biggest need the value is too much to pass up. We need a centerfielder to allow Kerry to shine even more.
    23. Pittsburgh Steelers: Sam Baker OT
    24. Tennessee Titans: Limas Sweed WR
    25. Seattle Seahawks: James Hardy WR
    26. Jacksonville Jaguars: Lawrence Jackson DE
    27. San Diego Chargers: Brandon Albert OG
    28. New York Jets (from DAL): Quentin Groves OLB-We got the big run-stuffing OLB now we need the speed rusher to compliment him. I originally thought that Mangini would be alright with Thomas being the other OLB, but with the workouts with Gholston and Avril it seems we are looking for a speedy type linebacker. Groves is 6’3 259 and runs a 4.5 I mean really could we pass that up.
    29. San Francisco 49ers (from IND): Dre Moore DE
    30. Green Bay Packers: Dan Connor LB
    31. New York Giants: Aqib Talib DB

    ROUND 2
    32. Miami Dolphins: Gosder Cherilus OT
    33. St. Louis Rams: Devin Thomas WR
    34. Kansas City Chiefs: Tracy Porter CB
    35. Atlanta Falcons (from OAK): Brandon Flowers CB
    36. New York Jets: Mario Manningham WR –Probably are most pressing need at this point a straight up playmaker. It was a toss-up between Mario and Devin but Manningham has shown more playmaking ability and is a faster more explosive player really reminds me of Santana or Steve Smith.
    37. Atlanta Falcons: Brian Brohm QB
    38. Baltimore Ravens: Antoine Cason CB
    39. San Francisco 49ers: Red Bryant NT
    40. New Orleans Saints: DaJuan Morgan S
    41. Buffalo Bills: Reggie Smith DB
    42. Denver Broncos: Jerod Mayo MLB
    43. Carolina Panthers: Fred Davis TE
    44. Chicago Bears: Felix Jones RB
    45. Detroit Lions: Curtis Lofton ILB
    46. Cincinnati Bengals: Erin Henderson OLB
    47. Minnesota Vikings: Joe Flacco QB
    48. Atlanta Falcons (from HOU): Anthony Collins OT
    49. Philadelphia Eagles: Early Doucet WR
    50. Arizona Cardinals: Cliff Avril DE/OLB
    51. Washington Redskins: Pat Sims DT
    52. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Chad Henne QB
    53. Pittsburgh Steelers: Clicho Rachal OG
    54. Tennessee Titans: Calais Campbell DE
    55. Seattle Seahawks: Dustin Keller TE
    56. Green Bay Packers (from CLE): Patrick Lee CB
    57. Miami Dolphins (from SD): Terell Thomas CB
    58. Jacksonville Jaguars: Roy Schuening OG
    59. Indianapolis Colts: Xavier Adibi OLB
    60. Green Bay Packers: John Carlson TE
    61. Dallas Cowboys: Andre Caldwell WR
    62. New England Patriots: Chris Johnson RB
    63. New York Giants: Thomas DeCoud S

    Round 3

    64. Miami Dolphins: Ezra Butler ILB
    65. St. Louis Rams: Tavares Gooden OLB
    66. Kansas City Chiefs: Jordy Nelson WR
    67. Carolina Panthers (from NYJ): Marcus Harrison DT
    68. Atlanta Falcons: Phillip Wheeler ILB
    69. New England Patriots: Tony Hills OT
    70. San Francisco 49ers: Chris Ellis OLB
    71. Buffalo Bills: Martin Rucker TE
    72. Jacksonville Jaguars (from BUF): Ahtyba Rubin NT
    73. Minnesota Vikings: Josh Barrett S
    74. Carolina Panthers: Jason Jones DE
    75. Chicago Bears: Andre Woodson QB
    76. Detroit Lions: Eric Young G
    77. Cincinnati Bengals: Marcus Howard OLB
    78. New Orleans Saints: Charles Godfrey CB
    79. Houston Texans: Jonathan Stewart RB
    80. Philadelphia Eagles: Heath Benedict OT
    81. Arizona Cardinals: Jammal Charles RB
    82. Minnesota Vikings: Eddie Royal WR
    83. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Terrence Wheatley CB
    84. Washington Redskins: Chad Reinhart OG
    85. Seattle Seahawks: Drew Radovich OG
    86. Tennessee Titans:Trevor Laws DT
    87. Detroit Lions (from CLE): Beau Bell OLB
    88. Pittsburgh Steelers: Matt Forte RB
    89. Jacksonville Jaguars: Tom Zbikowski S
    90. Chicago Bears: Duane Brown OT
    91. Green Bay Packers: Peyton Hills FB
    92. New York Jets (from DAL): Justin King CB Penn State - This guy reminds me of Hester, not really being able to master an offensive or defensive position in college but with really rare speed and agility. We have 2 great KO returners in Miller and Washington but King could be a master at the punt return. He still should be worked in as a corner at first though if it doesn’t work out switch him to offense.
    93. Indianapolis Colts: Ray Rice RB
    94. New England Patriots: Jonathan Goff ILB
    95. New York Giants: Jamar Adams S

    4. Jermichael Finley TE Texas/Adarius Bowman WR Oklahoma State- Don’t really know the reason he isn’t higher, if he would have stayed for another year he would be the first TE chosen, if he is chosen before this spot which I wouldn’t be surprised. If he is picked I say we go with Bowman or d-line help. But if he isn’t chosen hopefully he is swooped up here. He is gonna be a steal.

    4. Oniel Cousins OT- Eventual replacement for Woody who has a lot of upside

    4. Kirk Barton OG/OT- Eventual replacement for Moore at guard or maybe right tackle is in his future. Either way with cousins and Barton in the 4th the right side of our o-line should be solid.

    6. Jack Ikegwuonu CB Wisconsin/ Dwight Lowery CB San Diego State- Ikegwuonu was a first round pick before his injury which will likely keep him out for the ’08 season. He could be chosen really anywhere on Day 2.If he is chosen already the pick should be Lowery. The guy is a ballhawk 13 picks in 2 seasons at SDSU. A slow 40 time has dropped his stocked a little, but still a solid player.

    7. Mike Dragosavich P North Dakota State-Ben Graham sucks so we need an upgrade.

    7. Kyle Wright QB Miami-We need a backup he can do that. Has great size and measurables but just never seemed to get it done at Miami hopefully with better tutoring he could be a solid player.

if this happens i'd be shocked and pleased...

I fear justin king for the reasons stated, and its not easy to switch a kid to offense. CBs are WRs who can't catch... we don't need another WR project.

If your mock is accurate come draft day, why not Goff? if he's still listed at 238-242 he can play ILB for us and be a force next to Harris.

Red Bryant is so good that he's taken twice. He has also dropped in weight so I wouldn't expect him to be a nose.

Only problem with this is Carpenter is getting paid first round pick money and would be hard to squeeze into the cap.

I'd rather get a WR before Manningham. I like Hardy, Thomas, and Sweed as late firsts.. And if we're getting Carpenter, and we already signed Pace, do we really need another OLB? If I were the Jets, I would go

    Phillips
    Devin Thomas
    Jonathan Stewart

Then in round 3, I'd grab the best available DE or OT.

But it's only his base salaries we'd be on the hook for, and we could always do a new deal with him. Hard to do that on draft day, mind you.

I tend to agree with you. Not that we would not want to trade down, but I have doubts that someone would actively want to trade up into our spot.

Why are the Cowboys wanting to trade Carpenter? At the end of his rookie year he had a few games where he dominated...

Does the #6 pick bring back two first rounders, a third, AND a player?

I'm not saying it doesn't, and understand you're using the points system to support it, but damn, that seems like a lot to get back.

If the player we want isn't there at 6, I'd take the two first rounders and be happy with it I think.

Whatever. Thanks for all the work Nesquik, I don't know enough about college ball to critique your selections, but it was fun to read.

I really like Mario Manningham at #36...

Unfortunately he reminds me of Jerricho Cotchery...Jets need to add a big WR with that pick.

Manningham and Cotchery are two totally different receivers Cotchery is a possession guy who will catch alot of balls but not as many touchdowns.Manningham is a fast gamebreaker who wont catch as many ball but will do more after the catch and will score alot of touchdowns.

I really don't want someone like manningham on the jets. yes...his talents are amazing but he is a smaller receiver. we need a limas sweed or james hardy. ealry doucet is a better option. fatass russell and flynn had this guy and he did wonders for them. if this trade was to happen, I would want Hardy at 22, Groves at 28, Cherilus/Flacco/Calais Campbell (absolute monster) at 36 and then get a CB and either OL, DE or QB with the later picks.

Nice trade, but will we really get all of that for the #6 pick? I'd be happy though.

Balmer to #12? That's a bit of a reach IMO. Denver would be better off with a OT or WR. It's fine in terms of need, but maybe not value. Interesting choice.

Cromarite gets taken before Arizona's pick IMO.

I love Carl Nicks going to Philly. The draft never goes as most think and there's always a few first round surprises. Great call as Nicks has the potential to be a top OT and is a giant at 6-5 340.

I doubt Groves is around, but if so, that's one hell of a pair of pickups.

Devin Thomas is a 1st round pick now and maybe a Top 20...

I'd prefer Andre Caldwell or Early Doucet to Manningham, but I wouldn't be upset. He ran in the 4.4s at his Pro Day and should be in the mix.

No way Green Bay avoids a CB in this draft. They could use two on Day 1 alone. And they won't go LB since they brought in Chillar for depth.

    Ahtyba Rubin > Red Bryant

Andre Caldwell goes to the Eagles at #49 and Dallas at #61. You left out Early Doucet as well. Just slip him in.

Jonathan Stewart to the 3rd round eh? I doubt it. I could see late first or second, but there's no way he gets too far. Look at Willis McGahee a few years ago...

Trevor Laws is now a borderline 1st rounder IMO. I will have him going early 2nd. He's too good to go in the 3rd.

We only have two 4th round picks... Just get rid of Finley/Bowman.

Cousins will go much higher IMO and Barton is not a lock to be there.

I dislike the Justin King pick...

I really don't like Kyle Wright. He seems so shitty most times I see Miami play.

We still have David Barrett around at CB and Adrian Jones was cut in December and it's Drew Coleman (not Derrick)...

Overall there were some nice points in your draft and some I didn't like. Nice job overall though.

if jonathan stewart made it outta the second round id piss my self. even though he hass an injury keeping him out for 4-6 months his agent said he will be ready by training camp and its not an injury that will effect him that badly. he was going in the first round untill the injury and if he lasted to the third we would have to trade up.............
