Vince Young Mario Williams Haloti Ngata Vernon Davis D'Brickshaw Ferguson A.J. Hawk D'Angelo Williams Jimmy Williams All of these players selected are marquee players & future probowlers. Jets' will be o.k. if they draft any one of these guys. But Vince Youg is the MAIN-MAN...
All of them are future pro bowlers? have you even look at previous drafts and see how many top 10 players never pan out?
Hawk, Williams, or Ferguson would make me happy, Deangelo, Davis or Ngata are not a top 5 pick, Davis has great skill but is still just a TE, Ngat scares me because of his low motor and he take splays off, Bunkley is a better play and would be higher if he was 10 pounds heavier, Ngata is only there because he is 340 pounds
Vince Young - Definately not for our team Mario Williams Good solid pick but in my opinion not needed at the Jets Haloti Ngata sorry but not at #4 Vernon Davis Dont need a TE D'Brickshaw Ferguson - My pick definately but i think he might be taken A.J. Hawk - Great Pick for the team if d'brick is gone D'Angelo Williams - Not a #4 pick standard but still very good Jimmy Williams - Definately not at #4
1) Mario Williams 2) D'Brick or trade down Those should be only options considered IMO With Williams, they'd have to incorporate a hybrid D. On the 4-3, Williams and Ellis at the ends, Robertson and Kimo in middle. they'd implement 3-4 packages with Robertson handling the Nose, more so on passing situations. That would make a good front line. That being said, I think the Saints will take him. Can't beat a solid, and much needed, OT like D'Brick either. an LT of that ability is just a cornerstone to a good Offense. Or trade down, target say Manny Lawson, McNeil, Addai, Latusi, and Omar Jacobs all within first 3 rounds (with 1 pick to spare for a CB)
Williams and Hawk are the best available players at 4. With Steve Mcnair rumored to be released this week the Titans will move into the 2 spot and take Leinart. Then the Saints will take Ferguson to protect the investment they made in Brees. That leaves us with Williams and Hawk to choose from. Not bad both will be very good players. As early mentioned DeAngelo Williams will go latter then expected. he has a history of knee problems and Lendale White will be a better pro anyway.
