    dude, it opened at 27. If you went to your bookie right away when the spreads were released, you could've taken Jets +27.

    it dropped quickly to 24.5, though, and then it continued to fall as weather reports came in, eventually ending up at 21.

    never saw that, i guess i'm wrong. i looked sunday night (after week 14 games) and saw 24.5.

    LAS VEGAS - The New England Patriots? record-setting pace includes the betting odds, too.

    The undefeated Patriots were made a 27-point favorite over the New York Jets in the opening line for Sunday?s game at Foxborough, Mass. The line dropped to 24 on Monday, which would match San Francisco?s record point spread over Cincinnati on Dec. 5, 1993, according to Keith Glantz, co-author of the Glantz-Culver Line. The 49ers won that game 21-8.

    I think the funniest part is that #1 Jets Fan backed off his imaginary betting line even though he was right.
