I'm gunna go with LB. I think it's obvious that is our biggest need. I just would like to know everyone's opinion.
1. RT 2. Pass rushing linebacker 3. Cornerback opposite Revis 4. DE to provide depth or possibly challenge Ellis or Coleman
for FA it is line or LB, for draft it is bang for the bug playmaker on ether side of the ball, for me I like Gholston, Mendenhall and McFadden
LB/DE hybrid 100%. The OL seems patched minus depth. WR maybe. Not RB. We still got #11 and #10 so QB is not in the cards.
Right Side of the Offensive line, sadly even if we get that RT there's still an over paid hole next to him.
I STILL say we go for a big play WR, a RT, WILB and OLB and a CB, we can pick up at least 2 of these in the FA market and fill the rest in the draft. IMO.
What is our greatest next need? Well, I say that now that we got some time, what we need now is SPEED! Speed kills. Speed murders. Speed is what we need. More speed. That's an as yet undifferentiated requirement. I mean it could be defensive speed and it could also be offensive speed. It better be both. We need speed.
Personally I think our biggest need is a RT. however I think the next guy our FO reels in during the FA period is a skill player, like a WR or the CB opposite revis, or the safety upgrade to Elam. But I wouldnt be surprised to see Damien Woody in here in the next 3-4days to be our RT.
A pass rusher whether it's a de or an olb Right Tackle is right near there, but I think we can plug it in ok. The defense still needs that one extra dimension.
I'm kind of surprised that WR isn't an option. I'd put that right behind right tackle and pass rusher.
Right now, we have giant holes at OLB and corner. I believe the Right tackle position is best solved through the draft.
its rt then olb and then a wr but i still dont think we need an immediate impact one if we still have coles
In FA, I would say OLB. If the prevailing opinion persists that Gholston may not be there at the 6th spot, then cover ourselves now just in case that happens. Groves may be too much of a reach at that spot and he may not be there in the 2nd round. Avril would probably seem the likeliest to be there in the 2nd round but even that may be a reach as well. It may be more justifiable to pick an OL at No. 6 (Clady, Otah, et al) and there certainly will still be some quality RT's in the 2nd round for us as well. As such I would put acquiring Woody behind acquiring Pace. Picking up Pace also makes the drafting of McFadden more tenable.
My other, would be a few homos on the team. Sorry, No trolling; just laughs. A pass rushing Defensive end and a fast, reliable WR would be obvious wants at this point. The good news is our shopping list is definitely getting smaller because we are filling our initial needs with proven talent - so there are no real chances being taken other than freak injury which is part of the game with anybody.
