Trade the 4th to Denver for the 15th and 22nd 1a) RB DeAngelo Williams 1b) TE Leonard Pope 1c) C Nick Mangold 2) LB Bobby Carpenter (or OG Max Jean-Gilles, then address LB early day 2) 3a) OT Andrew Whitworth 3b) CB Devin Hester I dont really feel like writing any explanations; most of the picks address what are IMO our biggest needs. So sue me, Im lazy
First of all, there is no way we pick up a TE after we resigned Chris Baker. We have him, Jolley and Dreessen and much bigger needs. I'd make the trade yes, but why does Denver want to trade up? Who do they want to get?
Yea... replace 1b with the best tackle that can play on the right side available and I LOVE this idea.
I agree with everyone else...1b cannot be a tight end. Make it a tackle and replace Devin Hester (I think he has "bust" written all over him) with Whitehurst or Croyle, and that's about as good as Day 1 could be for us.
Mario Williams if he is there. I'm really not sure if they trade up though. Might just be me, but Shanahan doesn't seem like the type of coach that's going to trade up for a defensive end after resurrecting the Browns line.
GH, has Justice really fallen that much? I was under the impression that he probably wouldn't be around at #15 let alone #22.
Im thinking, since we sign Andre Dyson... 1a) RB DeAngelo Williams 1b) TE Leonard Pope 1c) C Nick Mangold 2) OG Max Jean-Gilles 3a) OT Andrew Whitworth 3b) 3-4 LB Daryll Tapp
If the Denver deal happened, I'd probably go like this: 15 - Manny Lawson, OLB 22 - Gabe Watson, NT 29 - Nick Mangold, OC 35 - Eric Winston, OT 71 - Charlie Whitehurst, QB 97 - Jason Avant, WR
Thing I don't get is, it's not like there was specultion of the Bronco's trading up again. Who are they targeting at 4?
There have been a few articles that mentioned Denver might trade up. I think that they'd be targeting one of the QB's if they traded all the way up to #4, or maybe Mario Williams, but I'd rather take Mario than trade down if he's there. But I agree, I don't think they will trade up. I would think they could add the top WR, Jackson or Holmes, at 15, and then a LT (Winston, McNeil, etc), CB (Cromartie, Youboty, etc) or TE (Pope, Lewis) at 22.
First I don't think Denver is looking to trade up, second there two picks wouldn't be enough to get up to our spot and third we would be crazy if this unlikely trade happened to use a first on a TE..
LOL!! :rofl2: Gotta be honest 1028, I have a bad feeling about DeAngelo Williams ... I think his bust factor is pretty high ... little too high for my taste Right now he's the 4th RB on my board ... Bush, White, Maroney and Williams, in that order So Give me White at 15 and I'd like that mock so much more
I don't think it's a case of him falling, that's where is value is at. I have him personally going #16 to Miami.
