Faneca and Pace... that'd be one successful (and expensive) first day.

I am for this if we draft Gholston to replace Bryan Thomas...if not, then I don't get it...

Pace would allow Thomas to move back to the weak side where he was much more successful.

I am actually kinda hoping he goes to SF...A: because I don't think we need him as he is the clone of BT....B: because we have a shot at Gholston...and C: because if he is in fact a goof fit for the 3-4 then I dont want the fins to get him.

wow....yeah it would. If Tanny is the genious we think he is with the creative contracts and all, we could have one hell of an offseason. I think the following scenario would be beyone great, but don't know if we could afford to do this or if the the Free Agents/Players/Agents and Draft will cooperate.

Trade Vilma for Rodgers straight up.
Sign Faneca, Pace, and Asante Samuel
    Draft Gholston (without moving up)
Add depth to the offensive line through the draft
Add a deep threat reciever in the draft
Sign Rhodes to a long term deal
Straighten out the Coles situation and keep him.

I'll take that offseason everyday of the week and twice on Sunday

  6. Exactly. He also brings more size/pass rushing ability to the lb corps. Additionally, Gholston would still be a possibility, as we still need LB depth and you can never have enough good pass rushers.

    That's a TON of money...

You would think, 10 for Samuel, 10 for Faneca, and 5 for Pace (about)

    Gholston - 5 Million (About)

    Rhodes + Coles - 5 Million

    Rogers - 3 Million

That could cost us anywhere in the range of 30 - 40 Million Dollars

    Not gunna happen.

got news for ya, if we got pace and gholston...gholston would be starting and pace or bt would be the depth on the bench...wuts the point of spending all the money...pace and gholston works for me and sending bt somewhere else for a pick....if possible

not all in one year. you structure the contracts differently to spread out the money. Samuel and Faneca are not getting $10 million for the first year. Nor would Pace get $5 million for the first year.

If Pace is the REAL Bryan Thomas v.2, I'll take it. Thomas was out of position and given way more coverage assignment last year. BT back on the weak side is good for 6-7 sacks minimum.

You sign Pace, and if Gholston is there you still take him. If gholston is gone you are not left with a huge hole at OLB. You can never have enough talented LBs in the 3-4.

im all for this..as long as we get gholston...i juss hope if we get pace they dont draft ellis

  16. You also have to keep in mind the "Zona syndrome"

Arizona players have a habit of going elsewhere after their initial contracts and performing at much higher levels.

There has been a lot of praise regarding Pace about his non stop motor,Thomas's lack of motor is the reason why he underachieves.

I'm just going to quote you because you're 100% correct. Here's hoping he makes the right decision and comes here.
