    I hear you...
Tangini hasn't exactly got me all excited about 2008...

For all the people Herm Edwards haters out there?
Well, he did manage to get the Jets into the playoffs most of the yeas he coached them. Yes, he inherited a team Parcells put together. Yes, he inherited a team that had been in the playoffs.

    Well, so did Manweenie.

Wake me up when Manweenie/Tageenie get us back to the playoffs...

    >I'm thinking of forwarding the Jets some ideas from this board...switch back to the 4-3...resign/trade for Kendall, Mawae, and Fabini...don't trade Abe because then we have no pass rush...I bet we could win like 8 or 9 games next year with that team and those 4 guys will only be like 200 years old between the 4 of them so we could also win 8 or 9 in '09 too. Then we'd have to rebuild but who cares...we weren't bad for a couple of seasons and thats what matters more.

Um...Mangini inherited Herm's that had been to the Playoffs...that team just had a 4-12 season, and most of their best players were in their mid-30's.

Think thats a slightly different situation or is everything so black and white as "team that had been to playoffs" and "teams that haven't been to playoffs?"

Not only that, but Mangini went and took many of Herm's younger players and coached them up. Rhodes, Cotchery, DRob, Thomas, and Hobson all have had their best (well DRobs 2nd and 3rd best) seasons under Mangini.

Dude they've made the playoffs 1 out of 2 whole times...are you serious?
