I see your point. But, Jersey was placed on the poll as an entire state, not individual cities. If you take all 5 boroughs,Long Island, and the rest of New York state. New york far outnumbers Jersey as a state. Maybe it's because it's much bigger, and the population is much greater. That said, I've said it time and time again, I love New Jersey, and hope to live there in the very near future. I'm sure if you do this same poll on a Giants website, the outcome would be very similar. New Jersey would have a boat load of fans pulling for the Jints. If this were the case as you posted, perhaps we can rename the Jints the New Jersey Giants.

1 of my conclusion is that most jets/mets fans come from Queens and L.I., but not all who hail from queens are Jet fans, many are Giants/Mets fans. There are a few though that root for the Yanks. The rest of the jets fans from the rest of the 5 boroughs, the rest of New York state, and New Jersey are mostly Jets/Yanks fans. Of course there are always some exceptions.
