Dude...the combine starts on February 20th. That's when the hype starts. Jacob Hester isn't going to be there in the later rounds. Someone will take a shot on him.

Leon Washington is a 3rd down back, and a pro-bowl caliber KICK RETURNER. Mendenhall, Stewart, and McFadden all have the SIZE and ability to be EVERY down running backs in the NFL.

I know running back isn't a BIG need, but it's a need. I want the Jets to go defense in the first round by drafting either Sedrick Ellis or Vernon Gholston. In round 2, I'd like to see an offensive lineman drafted. If some team wants to trade up for our pick, our FO might do that giving us an opportunity to pick up Gholston and Mendenhall or Stewart or even Felix Jones.

Good point about the combine. And yea, trading down would be IDEAL. To land Gholston and a future pro bowl RB...

No one has forgotten about him. But this years RB class is sick deep, and a drafted RB in the third round would of been a first rounder in other classes. The value of finding that type of player late in the draft is huge, and that player would slowly work his way into being the full timer once TJones is done.
