Page 65 of today's Daily News, the Jets took out a full page ad congratulating the entire NY Giants organization. Classy move for sure.
Now go spend some money in FA and get us our friggin' Super Bowl, could ya! For the love of Pearl!
And yes, we Jets fans all know Super Bowl III is still the greatest upset in NFL history. Period.

That is definately a classy move ! I have been thinking about that greatest upset thing and to tell you the truth we did shock the world ;but interms of the game we dominated from the opening kick off . a one sided game ! This game came down to a play that will get re-played over and over for many years to come and it was that play that im sure every person wathcing said "The Gaints are going to win this one".

For sure XLII was a better football game. Maybe best actual Super Bowl game ever (though I contend it was perhaps the best 4th quarter, not overall game, but that is different debate)
Been arguing this one with my closest friend who is super Giants fan (and the primary reason that rooting for the Giants Sunday was a little like route canal, though I gutted it out) and in terms of upsets, Supe III is difficult to even qualify, because of the era. It was a shock at the time for sure, but what it lead to in terms of where the NFL went because of that victory, I don't think was felt until years later, and is lost on the modern NFL fan.

Woody should have invested the $$$$ in R & D to insure that this time around we pick a quality ball player with a hi draft pick

This appears to be champ's new phrase for the week, replacing the "Kraft is a better owner than Woody" bit from last week.

XLII was not the best superbowl or 4th quarter of a superbowl. The best superbowl I have ever seen was the Carolina Panthers and the New England patriots Superbowl.

Well after all our flops why not invest it in something that may have a ROI?

im sure ROI means return of investment, but for the love of God would you take the time to type out the words. Try arthritic cream if your fingers hurt too much....

The San Francisco-Cincinnati Super Bowl in January 1989 was good, Joe Montana hit John Taylor for the game winning TD in the closing seconds, similar to Eli's. Also the January 1979 Dallas-Pittsburgh game came right down to the wire, I think it was a 35-31 game, something like that, a lot of excitement.

Do you really think an ad in the Daily News is going to affect how much money the team will have to spend on players? You just like to complain about everything.

I agree with this, too. Nice for the owner of the team to take the high road but that doesn't mean we as fans have to. I still say we should trash their stadium at the first home game.

haha, unfortunately will still have to play in that cement graveyard of a stadium for another 2 full season. My dream is that we have the last home game at giants stadium in 09, that way we can really tear that place apart. I hope some jet fans find a way to dynamite the giants stadium sign...it's all going to implode anyway

Technically I do not think the NYGs own the present stadium. The Meadowlands Authority is the owner & the NYGs are the prime tenants & after the NYGs gave there permission the Authority also gave the NYJs a lease so the authority not the NYGs are our landlords

It's great that a team beat the Pats, but let's not start sucking on the Giants nads over
this, we still are the ugly red headed stepchild to them..
