If Woody were Steinbrenner, who would Steinbrenner be? You can't very well have 2 people being the same person.
Just as my reply states. I just think he would be able to accomplish more then woody could do! I personally would rather have an owner who is hands on; not a maniac who lurks around the locker rooms but someone who doesn’t just allow for mediocrity and reward that with more contracts (players and coaches). Steinbrenner does act like a tyrant when things are out of control, but when things are clicking you don’t hear too much out of him. (I guess that’s like in any sport)
The difference between Baseball and Football is Steinbrenner can fix a mess he has made with his checkbook. He can't sign a top five player at every position like baseball. You can't just buy your way in the mix every year like the Yankees in football. It does not work that way. Steinbrenner would create a salary cap disaster for the Jets with his impatience.
