Al Saunders is available, i liked him since his days making Trent Green and Priest Holmes fantasy Gods.... i'd kick out schotty tomorrow to make room for him... what do you all think???
Please no, that's the last thing we need, another system fo the players to learn, another year of hearing its going to take time. On offense, its the talent, not the coach. Lets get some players
Agreed, Saunders can be a good coach in the league, but we need some kind of continuity to our staff. And since we appear to be wanting an upgrade at DC changing both schemes in the same offseason, would insure another year in the basement. I dont know about you, but since we saw Schotty is a good OC when he has a competant OL, we need to give him next year, if he still is horrible then he needs to go, but i have great faith in him, our team will definately improve next season.
I agree with keeping Schotty, but not because I think we'd be ensured another year in the basement. Everyone seems to forget we went to the playoffs last year learning these new systems. Changing coordinators would not ensure anything.
Get me some good O-Line production. Let me see the results of that after next season, and then we can talk about the OC. All Schotty needs is atleast a "decent" line to make some magic happen. Just look at what he did for the offense his first season with the team. Yes, he did not have a great line, but It was passable. Last season was dreadfully bad.
Lets first get a couple of Offensive Linemen and get another Reciever before we throw shotty under the bus. Give him some more talent to work with what good is it when ur fuckin Qb doesent have more then .1 of a second to throw the ball. I mean lets atleast be fair in our attacks on these people.
I find it unbelievable that Schott got a HC interview with the Ravens after the year he had. He will probably be gone soon. Maybe he can coach the Raiders. No to Saunders. The last few plays of the Giant win in Washington told me all I need to know about him. Running plays with no time outs. Although I have a sneaking suspicion that Gibbs might have overruled him there. Saunders had the best OL in the league for years. He would not have that here.
I wouldn't mind, but I don't know what good it would do for us. It still comes down to talent. Remember, when Schott came aboard there was alot of talk of our offensive system being based on the ones in SD and KC under Cameron and Saunders. Signing him wouldn't change much for us but name recognition I'd guess, and he'd be expensive as hell.
All I can think of is "Get me a Whopper!". No. You don't need the whopper and you don't need Al Saunders.
