Does anybody think there a chance in hell he would leave the Pats after this season? After all he does become a FA. If there was a chance should we go after him?

I think if/when the Pats win the next SB , he will stay on. He was a HUGE part of their success this year.
Without wishing to hijack your thread , would the Pats be in the Championship game at all had it not been for Moss?

I think there's a chance The Pats could let him walk the distraction this week might have increased the chances of that happening. They also have Donte Stallworth. No, I wouldn't sign him.

I would say yes because of what Tom Brady did with some of those WR he had in the past. Now they wouldn't be undefeated.

Yes. They got to this point last season with Caldwell and Gaffney starting why couldn't they do it with Welker and Stallworth?

He'd be PERFECT for the Jets. I hope we get him. Pay Coles and sign Stallworth.:)

I reside on the west coast these days. Just north of Oakland.

I gotta say Moss in Oakland was one of the most shameful displays of team sportsmanship I have ever seen in this league.

As soon as the team started losing during both his years in Oakland he basically stopped trying. It was a disgrace.

And there were a lot of "I told you so" comments from Minn fans.

If the guy isn't on a top team he quits playing. Basically only about 3 teams in the league would make Moss play hard.

The Jets arn't one of them. Lets save our money and spend it on someone who will actually try during the hard times.

The season he's had this season proves he quit like a dog in Oakland.

I agree - but it didn't really need proving. Announcers would cut to Moss during replays of pass plays and say, "I guess Moss didn't have a route to run on that play because he only took 3 steps." And I am not talking week 14 - more like week 4. Finially the Raiders just benched him all together and said he was injured (everyone knew he wasn't).

I hope the Jets sign Moss and trade for Chad Johnson. That would solve all of the team's problems.

He'll be a Patriot next season. I don't see how we would want to leave, or how the Patriots would want to let him go.

I believe Moss coming back will be pending on the legal proceedings. Moss has to be on a short chain there.

I don't think theres even a chance he leaves the pats. I also don't think there is a chance that the relationship between him and Mangini would work if we did go after him.

    Good point.

This offseason will be huge on Moss. Is he the teammate people say he has become? Care more about the team, more about championships? Or is he in it to get paid?

I think he'll take the lesser check and stay with the championship team with which he can make history, MORE history.

Just had to read the title of this thread, nothing else.

NOT GONNA HAPPEN!!! Let that thought go from your head this VERY moment.

Why would he? going from a potential 19 - 0 team and SB Champ to a playoff WANNABE???

    again, NOT GONNA HAPPEN

I think he'll leave to go after the big money ---- only if the PATS win the Super Bowl in 2 weeks. He'll think to himself that he's got his Super Bowl ring & he's got his record WR season. His agent will tell him what the top flight receivers are currently making & then he'll go where the $$ is offered. If NE offers $$ that is even close, he will stay, but I dont think they can come close w/their CAP situation. But w/Pioli managing the team $$, who knows.
