Yeah, watching the Chargers play poorly and seeing Norv Turner on the sidelines and knowing A.J. Smith is in a booth watching this game, makes for good theater. Many of us here would prefer JAX-NE and SD-IND in the next round, but we should be careful what we wish for. TEN-NE and JAX-IND could be good games, too.
everyone agrees Jacksonville would be a tougher matchup for New England than Tennessee, which is why we should be cheering for San Diego.
Personally, I think Indy is the only team that can beat the Patriots. So I would rather they play the Jaguars (a team they have consistently beat), rather than the Chargers (who they have already lost against this year, and as long as Rivers plays an okay game I think the Bolts would have a shot).
I really thought the Chargers would be leading big in this game. I guess the Titans got really pumped from playing the Colts 2nd String team.
Colts are missing Diem and Freeney, and Harrison won't be at full strength. I don't give Indy that good a chance. I think Jacksonville and San Diego would have the best chance.
I think I would've gone for it. If you're stopped. tennessee is buried at its own 1 and it's still a one score game. you'd have a shot at a safety.
I don't think the san diego D is as improved as everyone thinks, The Pats would torch them again. The big winning streak came against some awful Offenses: Ravens chiefs, titans, Ravens, lions broncos raiders. No big time passing attacks there except maybe the lions who were already in a free fall.
San Diego defense played very well over the last month. Don't know how it would look against NE, but with the key players healthy and Cromartie starting, it's much improved.
Doesn't matter how San Diego's defense matches up with New England, there is zero chance that they beat Indy next week.
How can you say they have a zero percent chance when they have already beaten them this year? The Colts have some big injuries, and although they will be the favorites the Chargers would have a very good chance to win in my opinion.
