Is rhodes a FA?

    I think next....we need to lock him up this offseason.

    He is signed through '09. '09 is his option year. The time to get Rhodes to sign is this spring or summer.

    No, he is signed through the 2008 season. He is set to hit free agency in March of 2009.

    I doubt he'd hit the open market without the Jets putting the franchise tag on him if it came down to it anyway.

    The way the FO operates now they will make sure they lock him up before he hits free agency. Most underated safety in the NFL. He's been great for us even with the D-Line never generating any type of pass rush to help the secondary.

    Let's hope the jets lock him up. We have been very good at locking up below average players like Ellis, B Thomas, K Coleman with big contracts. Maybe they jets can do the same with the good players?
