Thank you Santa, at last you seen the incompetance of this clown. I don't want to see him suit up again for the Jets. Punters are 10 a dime in this league.

Of all the things wrong with this team, waiting for Ben Graham to get the axe was #1 on your list?

Yah... Ben was pretty good. This season had bigger issues than the punter 0_o

I thought Ben was a great punter? put that spin on the ball that returners had a hard time handling? Now he sucks? What happen?

he has a few bad punts and some clowns are calling for his head, gee a few wankers around here.

hope he stays and comes back next year much better.

ffs, way more things to worry about.

He's been way too inconsistant this year, hopefully he doesn't return next year. I was getting sick of his 30 yard punts.

That crazy spin we heard so much about never seemed to have any impact at game time.

Don't get me wrong, I was tired of his muffed punts as well, but that is easily the least of our problems heading into next season.

His holding down the snap for a Kick or XP was missed Sunday as we missed an XP that would have made it A FG game which would have definitely taken pressure off on the offense to have to march down the field and get a TD.

Having more important things to worry about doesn't change the fact that he did a poor job this year. He didn't have "a few bad punts" - he had at least one awful punt in at least half of the games. The margin of error for punters is a lot less than that, since they are so easy to replace, and a shanked punt is basically the same as a turnover.

We sung his praises for most of last year for good reason, but the fact is he hasn't played like an NFL punter this season, and punter is an easily replaceable position if you don't play well.

I'm surprised we haven't used him in more gadget plays (fake punts). I mean he's supposed to be able to run the ball and tackle (Aussie rules). But yes he's had an awful season. Bring in real competition next camp and let him earn the spot.

Graham has botched many holds before and the reason Nugent missed it wasn't b/c of the hold, the hold was actually good after a poor snap.

Perhaps, but we weren't in FG range and a FG would have only tied the game anyway. You need a TD there for the win, we're so conditioned to FGs these days it's easy to forget. Coming out of the 2:00 warning we had 3rd and 4 and couldn't get it. Game over.

I can't recall any Graham botched holds. There might have been one in there but it doesn't spring to mind.

Nugent missed one extra point in 81 holds by Graham. I'm not happy with his punting this year either but I've never seen him as a weakness as a holder, and the evidence doesn't support the contention that he was.

I don't have the pinpoint memory that some of the rest of you do, so I don't know the exact games it happened in, but I do remember a couple of bad holds from Graham. I don't think a couple of bad holds is a huge problem though. I think the shanked punts are a cause for concern however. His problem is that he's just too inconsistent.

Minnesota and Miami in back to back weeks last year come to mind off the top of my head. 1 botched hold is too many, 2 is off the charts. He's not a reliable P or holder.

When the team is doing poorly it tends to reflect on everyone in all phases. I mean by the line of reasoning in this thread we should also dump Clemens because he's playing poorly. Both are relatively new in this league (as is this team).

I like Graham and would like to give him another shot next year. As someone else said, just get some REAL (key word real) competition for him in camp and lets see who is the better man. I do think that Ben Graham is still an NFL punter.

This is how I feel as well. I think if Ben Graham can work out what ever the issues are; he will not factor into whether we win or lose games next year.

Let's face it the guy had to punt a hell of a lot this year. I think we have to reduce the quantity of punt attempts next year by addressing other areas of the team before we worry about replacing a punter.
