I would imagine we have more room than we could possibly spend. The cap is so high now you'd have to be an incompetent to hit it.
According to the site I linked, we have 27.75 million available. This is more than the $20 million or so I saw last month (I think it was Peter King). Either way we have a lot to spend. But so do many teams and thus the players that do hit free agency may be lower than expected at this point. http://nextleveltalk.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=11322&p=153655
Salary cap is a non issue; especially after we sit on our asses and do nothing in FA like every other year because our owner is a cheap shit.
The Redskins are over the 2008 cap by double digit millions already. This will probably be true even if we get a double digit raise this year which is looking very likely atm.
I have heard this from just about everyone on this site and this may or may not be true. Sure this team didn't spend last year in free agency, but they did spend money on Thomas Jones. I wouldn't look too much into the Jets letting go of guys like Mckenzie, Thomas, and Ferguson. That was more mismanagement by Bradway then anything. This year we will really find out about this team's spending habits.
Eaxctly brother, exactly. Expect more signings like David Bowens and Kimo. That's what you get from Woody.
maybe because of last year success he thinks that for less money he can have a playoff team. i hope after this season he will realize that to win you need money.
