Saban cites 9-11, Pearl Harbor to motivate Alabama players - College FB - NBCSports.com

Didn't Kellen Winslow get thrown under the bus for comparing a football game to war? How is a coach using 9/11 and Pearl Harbor as a comparison not ten times worse than that? Terrible.

Saban comes very close to being one of the biggest scumbags in the world of sports.

Ahhh...the media is blowing this up.

He was talking about "catastrophic events" -- not football. He knows that 9/11 and WW2 are much greater than football and he said that, someone just thought they could make him look like an asshole by cutting some stuff out.

He wasn't comparing Alabama's losses to those two tragedies...

He is making the comparison...He says, "Changes in history usually occur after some kind of catastrophic event", meaning that his team might get a wake up call from losing from a team that they should've easily handled.

Exactly what I said in response to this thread in the BS forum.... And I pretty much got bashed to no end for it... Not sure why.... People are overly sensitive.... 9/11 and Pearl Harbor did change the mindset of the nation.... And that's all he said
