It was a hard choice for me, but I would have to say all of the above, they didnt have enough choices for me to add that
Pretty sure we lost those 5 games after Marinos spike...Wasn't sure of the year just the spike and what came next. I thought that was in the nineties though,
I had zero expectations for this team and we are seeing the development of the next group of good young players. This isn't even in the same league as those years.
You want Jet fans to pick the worst year ever? That's like asking someone to count sand on a beach - there is so much there it would take forever.
I personally had great expectations. The only changes that I saw besides the loss of Kendall were an improved running back and perhaps a better pas defense with the addition of Revis. I guess I picked this year because its been a bummer from the begining and it is the most recent memory. Losing to Cleveland sucked the year we were up by 14 with 2 minutes left and we put in the Prevent( a win) defense and we wind up losing the game. That year was exciting, but that game sucked bad.
Yes there were many bad years , but some were definetly worse than others. I am talking about the whole year, not 1 game. 2 years ago was pretty piss poor with Bolinger running the show for us. But this year has sucked for me because it has been bad from the start. Other years at least there was some flicker of light like we might turn it around. Not this year
None of the above. My worst year was when the Dolphins went undefeated. My brother-in-law at the time was a huge Dolphags fan and I never heard the end of it. All season long... how great the Dolphins were, how unstoppable, how much the Jets stink, etc., etc.... never heard the end of it. Just wait, if the Patriots go undefeated this year you're all going to see what I mean. Every NE fan you run into will be rubbing it in your face for the next decade. "Patriots went 16-0... your Jets went 4-12.... blah, blah, blah...."
Year we lost 6 atraight to miss the playoffs after Marinos fake spike I wish horrible pain on that franchise...till this day.
None of the above. My pick would be when we went 1-15 in 1980. The same talent that went 8-8 the year before, no offensive coordinator and Richard todd calling his own plays.
I have to say, as far as expectations being thrown into the blender then stomped on repeatedly...2005 has to be the worst. We were a playoff team looking to make it back deep into the playoffs, then we lose both our starter and his capable backup...the rest was an exercise in emotional self-mutilation.
1995 for me. Watching Kotite come in and completely destroy the Jet's chances. We had no idea Parcells was on the horizon and it was just like the culmination of a decade of weakening Jets football. This year would go down about 5th on the list of all-time bad years for the Jets.
1999 hurt, but the pain only grew deeper last year when Parcells when interviewed by Fatso and Fruit Loops, said that the '99 Jets were poised for the Super Bowl, because that team had the most talent of any he ever coached.
1999 was terrible. We turned the ball over 6 times, Elway was 13-34 and we only lost by 13 points. I think we could have won that game had we stopped the Broncos on the drive after going on 10-0. However, we let them drive down field and the rest is history.
