Guys, how about showing just a little class. This young Japanese student comes on the board to talk about the Jets and improve her English and is barraged with stereotypes, sexual inneundos, and other completely unnecessary comments. You read this thread and it is no surprise that Jet fans were criticized for being crude and heartless. Either you are all 17 years old or you have no social lives or both. Welcome Suyaki. Ya know, you actually have a pretty good few points.... having said that I guess its the immature side of us that comes out sometimes(including myself), that is just a little to spontaneous.... however..... one more point....suyaki seems to take it all in stride and doesn't seem to offend easily..... so I guess you don' have to protect her....:up:
Being a Jets fan is a marriage. Divorcees are treated with a stigma, but those who take on the relationship are also treated as dead to the rest of single (sane football fans) society. You can't be married to two teams at a time. All I can hope is I can have a little happiness every week or two, that there's a lot of scoring, enough protection to prevent any surprises, and a good bit of hope and planning put into things to make sure the kids we draft develop into good members of the family. Holy crap!!! 30 dollars for that, it's been a few years and I've forgotten how expensive everything in Japan is. Even ugly Jet shirts like that are expensive. I'm curious, do you follow baseball at all? If you do I think the team you can equate with being a Jets fan is the Hansin Tigers. Seem to put good teams on the field but never quite the best team. If the Jets ever won the Super Bowl it'd be like the Hanshin Tigers winning the Japanese Series. Then again being from Kyoto your probably an Orix fan although maybe you are a fan of Hanshin?
