What we found yesterday is that Chad is the best QB we have because Clemens looks like crap. So now we need 2 Qb's because Chad also sucks, he just has experiencing sucking.

Pennington knows how to play the position. Too bad you couldn't put Pennington's head on Kyle Boller's body. What a player. I'd still rather Pennington then Boller or his ilk

Clemens looked like crap yesterday because of that throw he made right before he went down. You don't make a pass like that, I agree. That throw for the INT was pitiful, especially that close to our end.

Was that pass indicative of all his starts and all his passes? Not really, but that's the way people are judging him today, including M&MD, who never have a problem jumping on all things negative concerning the Jets.

What pisses me off the most right now is, it looks like we're right back into this QB controversy again. I thought all of that was behind us now and we could at least move on, but apparently not....

I think we should just admit we don't have a QB and install and run the veer with Brad Smith.

You may be onto something here. The NFL seems to go through phases like fashion with styles of offense going in and out over the years. Shit, the Pats brought back a form of the run and gun this year. Perhaps Mangini should start digging out the pre-forward pass game films and bring one of those offensive systems back. No one would know what to do.

If we were really smart we would have hired Rich Rodriguez before Michigan did... that way Smith would definately succeed at QB

I don't like the offensive line excuse. Obviously our O-line is bad but you should be able to see signs of a good QB regardless and I haven't seen them with kellen. Chad looked a thousand times better than Clemens has and he had no time to throw yesterday.

Look any young QB is going to make mistakes but I want to see the guy make plays too. Kellen seems scared back there. he doesn't know where to go with the ball, and he misses receivers too often. A good QB needs to make things happen. Your Pass blocking sucks and causes you to throw and INT or two fine but throw two TD's also. Kellen has just been unable to get anything going.

Do I think he deserves more of a chance. Yes. I think the bigger problem has been that we have no receivers who can catch if Coles and Cotch are hurt. But I will be extremely scared if we go into next season counting on him to be our QB.

Plus the complete lack of a running game hurts us as well... If you can't run and you're WR's are injured you're not gonna get much out of the QB... I don't care if it's Peyton under center

I thought we couldn't run because we couldn't throw down field. Are you saying our O-line sucks?

Right on the money. Chad has been a credit to this organisation let him play out the last 2 meaningless games. Whatever happens with Clemens, we need to be looking for a another QB as an insurance policy.

If we kept Chad I dont know how I could still continue to root for this team, its not going to happen so we dont have to worry about it.

I almost pulled all of my hair out watching Chad on Sunday, it reminded me how bad this guy is with a bad offensive line.

    1) Anyone who garners their NY sports knowledge from Fatso and Fruitloops has a room reserved for them in Bellvue. F&F are to be listened to for entertainment purposes only, nothing they say has any weight behind it at all.

    2) Start Chad the last 2 games of this miserable season to attempt to raise his trade value. KC is hurting, the season is in the shit, why run him out there anymore? The product he might show us on the field wouldn't be the 'real thing'.

Chad's trade value is what it already is. Whether he beats up the opposing team's for the rest of the year by 20 points or flat out loses; his value is set based on history.

IMO, playing Chad is outright stupid. If the guy sustains any kind of injury to his throwing shoulder, which with this offensive line is real legitimate threat, his trade value goes to zero.

We can kiss away a 3rd round pick or possibly a second rounder if anything serious happens to Chad. It simply is not worth it by any standard for 2 meaningless games. Starting Tui shows presence of understanding the big picture and planning for the future.

If he plays and show he can take NFL hits his value is much higher then if you baby him.
