We have alot of holes to fill on this team, but at the same time we also have alot of young players to build a solid team around. Revis is looking like a shut-down corner... Just the fact that he started as a rookie will help this team out alot next season, D.Harris is looking like a top 10 LB and may get the DROY award... One hell of a player to build a 3-4 Defense around (We just need a 3-4 DT and watch out) Rhodes is a playmaker in the secondary that not alot of teams have, Cotchery will be our #1 WR one day, Ferguson may turn out to be the franchise LT that every O-Line needs, Mangold is a Pro Bowl type center, Leon Washington is one hell of a special teams player and next year he may make alot of plays in the backfield as a 3rd year player, Thomas Jones started to play strong at the end of the year, This was Kellen Clemens' first year starting in the NFL... Yes he threw more Int's than TD's and made alot of rookie mistakes but at the same time, he showed alot of heart, the ability to make just about any throw on the field, the ability to escape the rush and pick up tough yards on the ground and a poise in the pocket that some young QB's never show. The mistakes will only make this kid a stronger QB and that much more ready to lead this team to the playoffs next year. Lets not forget that this offseason will be his first offseason getting the starting reps with first string players in training camp and preseason. Next year will also be his 2nd year starting behind the Jets O-Line who should add another player or two to go along with Ferguson and Mangold. If we can draft a play maker, maybe go after Suggs or A.Samuels or even A.Faneca... We can do some things next year.

Some points I agree with, but Cotchery will never be a #1.. Not enough speed and is more a slot guy. Thats why I want to go after Berrian. We are 3-11 but blew 3 10 point leads and we been in every game besides 2. We were 10-6 with almost the same team..
You do not have near enough talent to make a playoff run. In 2 years you may be the next winless team going for it. Having observed the jets a little the last year couple of years; I can tell you unequivocally that the Jets are headed in the wrong direction. Fire Mangini. It's your only hope.

I just feel we have a QB who can help us win alot of games and lead this team pretty far with the right players around him. We have a rookie CB in D.Revis who started the whole year for us, made plays, went one on one with T.Owens and R.Moss and is one the best tackling CB's I have ever seen in the open field... The Shut Down CB died when D.Sanders left, but Revis is looking as close to a Shut Down corner as you can find other than C.Bailey... Keep in mind, the kid is a rookie with ALOT of potential. Every team that runs a 3-4 Defense needs a IMLB and a NT... The Jets have found the perfect 3-4 MLB in D.Harris...Thank god we traded up in front of NE to draft this kid from Michigan. A rookie making 17-18 tackles in games? Amazing draft for the defensive side of the ball with Harris and Revis. And who knows... We may trade Vilma to a defense that needs a 4-3 MLB and pick up a late 2nd or early 3rd... Or maybe even keep Vilma and have him play alongside Harris as our #2 MLB in the 3-4. K.Rhodes had an amazing season last year... And alot of us thought it could have been a fluke year, but at the same time, did you all see this man in the secondary for this Jets defense this year? Wow... I have always thought E.Reed was the best safety in the NFL but K.Rhodes will give E.Reed a run for his money any day of the week if he keeps on playing like he has played the past 2 seasons. If we go out and find another play-making Safety to play alongside Rhodes in the secondary, I feel with Rhodes, Revis and X... We will have one of the best secondarys in all offootball for years to come. I can go on and on... This offseason is huge for this Jets team... HUGE

We definitely can compete for a playoff spot next year. If the NFl has shown you anything its that from year to year things change. Also everything went wrong on the field this year we had no breaks. If we get those breaks next season I can easily see us in the playoffs. However we are still a long way from making a real run at a championship. We have to compete but continue to build a championship calibur team. We need a pass rush, a new D-line, a RT, a LG, another WR and possibly a QB before that can happen. So although we can probably fill a bunch of positions this offseaon we can't do it all in one year so lets just continue to piece it together.

We are 3-11 , not by accident. yes we have alot of talented players on this team who are also very young. To be a true contender we have to blend talent with youth and experience , this is not coming next year or the year after. Sure we might make the POs , but we will be making up the numbers at best. As far as KC goes , again I'm still out on him and WANT to give him the time he needs, which in NY he is NOT going to get. So far though the only thing I have seen from him is his arm strength.
