Its not ridiculous to think they would toss Chad a bone for all the suiters that they would want to have intrest in his services next year , but this wouldnt be this game! I really want to see what kind of game Schotty play. Iv been watching the play calling for the last 3 weeks (Closely watching) and I want to see if this guy has any creativity at all . I watch the formations and the personell that come into the game and its predictable again. I am pleased to see the TE used a little more and now some quick slants are being employed in short yardage situations , with some sucsess. This one could get out of hand quick , but I KNOW the defense will make us proud at aleast for 2 1/2 quarters at least. All eyes on the Offense period !

This thread is just awful...Give Clemens the experience of playing one of the harder teams of the NFL, it would help him out, and it will make teams like the Bills seem like nothing to Clemens. Just burn this thread...

I agree, start Chad. Clemens can develop on the bench where his future is anyway.

Do it for the fans who want to win.

Chad didn't beat the Pats last year the Jets did. I seem to recall an almost dominating preformance by the offensive line in that game. They were blowing the Patriots off the ball at times and allowed the offense to do it's thing. If they played they way they did in that game all the time, we'd have 8 wins right now.

Chad sucked in the game we beat them in Foxboro last year. He throw a meatball directly to Ellis Hobes who stared at it long enough to allow Cotch to come over and make an incredible catch to win the game.

I understand all of your points - but I still think CHad gives us the best shot to win this one. How fucking sweet would it be if the Jets crushed the Patriots and took advantage of the weather situation.

Chad can dink & dunk the NYJets to victory if the weather is bad. The old Pats defense will get worn out stopping short passes and the TJ/LW combo play after play in freezing ass cold weather. I can just see it now...the biggest upset of the year!

START CHAD this one last time. Then hand over the reigns to Clemens.

So we're 3-10, we all agreed a month ago that Chad isn't the longterm answer, Chad has sucked in his career against New England (we won last year because we held them to 14 points and they ran the ball a little, although Chad didn't play badly).

Now we're starting Pennington? For what? For the slimmest of slim chances of going to 4-10? Kellen has just as good of a chance to beat NE as Chad, or close to it.

And how do you think benching Kellen in his biggest game of his career would do to his development? This is a game he needs to play and take his lumps in.

I seriously cant wait till Chad gets released or traded away. Hopefully, he takes all of his little fan boys like the OP with him.

Once he's gone, we'll have threads every week, just like the ones we have now bashing Herm Edwards...

Every time CHad has a decent game elsewhere, we'll have to hear about it.... Why people are so attached to such an unspectacular player is beyond me...

I would be SO excited if Chad played tomorrow. I know it won't happen, but it would be amazing to see him come back and beat the Pats and then let him go play for another team next year where the fans may actually appreciate him. Clemens has shown nothing against awful defenses like Cleveland and even though his stat line against Miami was decent, the defense is the only reason why we won that game. Clemens is going to get absolutely murdered out there tomorrow with how long he holds onto the ball before he throws it. Hopefully the snow will be able to cushion his falls on the sacks or Chad may play whether everyone likes it or not.

Why would you be so excited? He has played like trash all year long, which caused him to get benched. Watching opposing DBs take one of Chads 15mph gravity balls back to the house isnt going to be that exciting. Please go cheer for whatever team Chad plays for next year. This team doesnt need anymore "Chad" fans.

    All your points are invalid.

So Chad has a good chance of pulling it off because of the weather and his ability to to execute the short passing game? I guess Tom Brady and his receiving core are completely irrelevant, right? And the Pats defense have really shown a lot of holes this year...

    Yup, an upset is inevitable.

Kellen needs to start in games like this if we are ever going to find out how good he is. Why put Chad back in now when Kellen can get such important match experience against a team he will be playing twice a year, every year - if he makes it!

    My 2 cents.
Some of you way too obsessed with the Pats, seriously.
We need to concentrate on what we have and improve , instead of trying to give the Pats a bloody nose. There is always next season

I think the basis of opinion for starting Chad today is because he can "dink and dunk" the Pats to death right? Why can't Clemens a guy with a clearly STONGER arm dink and dunk them to death with more zip on his passes?
