Does he start over ellis or coleman? i personally think it should be over ellis because ellis has always been over rated. He is running out of gas. but on the other hand we have a potentially solid RE in coleman. he isnt the best pass rusher but he is well above average when it comes to stuffing the run.

I think you are getting a little ahead of yourself here. No one is ever sure what position he would play. Also the Jets have shown that regardless of who starts the defensive line will be shuffled constantly.

I wouldn't mind having Long, but personally if we picked him over McFadden and then Darren fell to New England...

We are gonna have to trade Ellis and Vilma to the Dolphins for there 1st pick overall in the Draft. So we get a pick before the Pats, and we can get Long and McFadden :) Genious!

Who is "we"? I know a lot of guys that wouldn't mind us taking Chris Long.

Darren McFadden is my choice RIGHT NOW, but I don't think he'll be around. I'll be upset if we take Long over McFadden, but taking Chris Long at 5 or 6 would be a nice pick. I think he can be an effective player in the 3-4, even if he is a little small.

I'd just rather not draft a guy with weight issues to play on the DL of a team that desperately needs size.

the D-line is undersized as it is why draft a smaller guy. I think the Jets need a bigger D-line and upgrade at both Guard spots and a bigger LB's would help. Another thing why draft D-Mac when we have Jones?

    Well comparing the schedules:

    Jets:
    Pats
    Titans
    Chiefs

    49ers:
    Bengals
    Bucs
    Browns

I can easily see the Jets losing all 3, and the Niners are definitely capable of beating the Bengals.

However, it would be a lot nicer if we could beat the Chiefs and Pats, and have the Niners win out, thus putting us ahead of the Pats in the draft:grin:

The Niners are beating the Bengals 17-10 late in the 3rd quarter and San Fran is in the redzone about to make it at least 20-10. Let's hope Frank Gore can run the clock out and give the Niners win number 4.

I think we could make Chris Long work. He could put on the weight or we could move him around. He is a winner. I think Gholston will be somebody for years to come. I am not sure how high he will be but I would rather take him than Long.
