I agree. Glad to have the position set and one we don't have to worry about addressing with the draft. Good job by our FO.

Eh I dunno if we have it cut. Coles, McCareins, and Baker...dosent exactly strike fear into opponents does it? And its not like we have a stellar QB that can work with average receivers and make them look better, ala Tom Brady. We still need to upgrade our receiving corps...we have too much $$ invested at WR to upgrade there. But we can still add a playmaker at TE who can create mismatching nightmares to exploit the defense. Id STILL go with Vernon Davis in the 1st or Mercedes Lewis in the 2nd

It wouldn't have been a big deal if he went elsewhere, but he realized that no one was going to give him a shot to start and get as much PT as we would. I mean, he has potential in terms of both being a pass catcher and a blocker, and he showed signs of this last season before his injury. Hopefully things work out well.

Let's give Baker back his #81 that he was wearing when he scored the TD vs. Indy in Jan. 2003.

This board has always had an unjustifiably high opinion of Baker. I have not seen him impress, but for the one game.

Just because they aren't probowlers does not mean they are bums. I am sure the Jets would take that kind of talent at every position, but it never happens.

I like Chris Baker, but he is overrated just like Adrian Jones. Both servicable players and will be good players to have around.

I like Baker to have a pretty good year as long as he stays healthy. Doug Jolley's year is blown way out of perportion. He didn't play as well as some might have expected, but if you look at the quality of his receptions you can see he has big play capability.

Dreesen has done nothing on the field yet, he just received alot of praise from the coaching staff and seems like a hard worker.

Having said all that I am looking foward to these guys all playing better as a unit, but in no way are they bums.
