OK, this season has been complete shit. Not that I don't love the Pitt upset, and sweeping the phins is always a joy. But this game is the one I want.

Logic dictates that the Jets will be killed this weekend. I don't care. I don't care about the Pats juggernaught offense. I don't care about their outstanding defense. I don't care that the Jets have less talent and weaker coaching. I don't care about any of that. I want this game. And I don't care how they do it, either.

I want this team to come out and punch the Pats in the face. Get physical and stay physical. Hit hard and often. Dig as deep as you have to, boys. And win this goddam game!

Let's Make Orphans of the Patriots' children!

But, Scruggy, what about the Mothers of the children?

Hmm, I imagine that they will die of grief.

    Go Jets!

I can't figure out what I want more...

To beat the Pats this weekend, or to see Shula choke on a corked champagne bottle when the Pats and Dolphins both stick to one whole side of the results column.

If the Jets could do those things, like hit hard and play physical, then they'd be a good team ... but they don't do those things, not because they don't try to, simply because they cannot... and therefore are a terrible team

Coming from an avid Pats fan:

Good luck guys. It really sucks that I can't start a new topic though...

Although I find it pretty sad that all of your smilies are "so-and-so sucks" and there aren't any "Jets rule" or whatnot

Well anyways, see you guys at 1 on Sunday.

    Mangini hates penalties

In the locker room before the KO.

:Mangini:"No late hits guys and hey Revis keep your hands off the Moss , don't want any pass interference calls. Bryan Thomas?! Wheres Bryan Thomas?!

:)Harris mutters under breathe: Yeah we'd all like the answear to that one!).

:Rhodes:Errr.... Hes next to you coach.

:Mangini: GEEEZUZ THOMAS!!! HOW IN THE NAME OF BELICHEAT DID YOU GET THERE SO FAST?

:Thomas: ( In the voice of Droopy) I've been here all along coach I haven't moved.

:Mangini: So you would have incurred a neutral zone infraction PENALTY!!! GEEZUZ Thomas! Why can't you be more like that tackling machine Ellis?

Mangini tilts his cap and scratches his armpit below his' I'm with stupid T'shirt'
Ok guys this is the gameplan...... we stop them racking up the scorline by :sniggers: by us just keeping our offense on for as long as possible , forget about trying to score , that way we make the game clock go a whole lot quicker and we can all go home and Dream about kicking Herms butt.
Is that genius or what guys?:shit:

In a perfect world, The Jets would go down and score a go ahead TD, with less than 10 seconds on the clock.

    Say Jets 16 Pats 10.

Kick the ensuing kickoff, down the ball on the one, with two seconds left.

Then as the Pats line up to snap the ball,
walk off the field, and let the Pats score 7.

In the Post game, Eric would come out and say,

"We know we beat them, and they know we beat them, but Don Shula
has had this coming for a long time. Don, you should have covered that field, back in 83."

This would be great, but would reek of Favre laying down for Strahan.

Beating the Pats this Sunday could well turn out to be the only notable thing Mangini ever does in his NFL career. Mix in the subplots and it makes for a full hour documentary from NFL films. I'd buy copies when it was released, and mail them to random people in Boston around Christmas time. I'd send a copy to Beli every Christmas until the day he dies too.

This game should have been moved to Sunday night. No matter what the outcome it deserved to be in prime time.
