The only position Parcells would likely accept would be as a member emeritus of the Jet's football brain-trust. This would be similar to the role Bill Walsh had with the 49ers until the D'Angelos sold them. Walsh got 500k a year to just sit in on organizational meetings and be available to management as a consultant. I think Parcells probably has too much ego to take 2.5 million a year basically to be on background. He likes to talk football with a wide range of people and an official role with the Jets would cramp his style.
