Rumor has is we're in talks with NO to trade both our 1rst rounders for their #2 overall and possibly a late round pick to move up to #2 and pick up Matty L. Obviously it's not confirmed yet, however, most analysts seem to speculate were really trying for Matt. I am deffinately not going to give my opinion on this, it's too controversial, especially because it's not confirmed as of yet.

Sorry if this is old news.

Pretty much every article about the jets in the papers tosses in the possibility of trading up for leinart. Honestly, nobody will know until it happens with this FO (a good thing).

If we deal #4 and #29 for #2 and some late round pick by the NFL Draft chart, we got big time value.

Technically, to be even, we'd have to trade #4 and #29 along with our 3rd and 6th round picks for their #2 and their 4th round pick.

If we really want the QB, I say go for it. I don't know if we'll do it though.

If there was ony 1 or 2 decent QB's, I would say do it. There are 3 decent QBS's. We are absolutely guaranteed one of them if we stay where we are. If all 3 QB's go with the first 3 picks (won't happen) then Bush is available, which is a nice problem to have.

Trading up costs us both first round picks and maybe a little more, plus who ever we draft at 2 will cost big bucks. I heard it rumored yesterday that Leinart was looking at $30M in guaranteed money. I say, he is not worth that, and it sounds like he will be a pain in the ass to sign.

We are far better off staying where we are or even trading down a little.

Problem is, not everybody agrees that there are 3 QBs worth a first round pick

I hope the rumor is wrong. We don't need another QB that is a work in progress. We already have three of them in one form or another. I do not want this. I want us to get a projected game changer 'D'. Or more picks that can result in a good strong future.

Absolutely True. I would hold off for Brady Quinn. Another year under Charley Weiss and Mangini's intangables learned from the Pats could really utilize Quinn's abilities learned from Weiss.

The rumors come from sportswriters that are trying to make a deadline. It is mostly their imaginations because they would LOVE to be able to write articles all summer about the Jets sexy QB pick.

But think about it. Does trading away all those picks really fit into the philosophy of this new FO? They absolutely REFUSED to give away additional picks with ABE to get ATL's 15. So ATL had to trade with Denver. They were willing to keep a malcontent on the roster and pay him 8million instead of giving away picks. I find it curious that this FO is so tight-lipped about everything EXCEPT that they are working out all 3 QBs and Williams.

I think it is more than likely that they will trade down to get more picks.

if we do trade up, it should be with the saints, it should be to take mario williams, bc thats who they want, if we wanted leinhart, y not just trade up with the titans, and even there, its not a lock they'll take him. But i really want mario williams.

because we want to guarentee we take him, and the titans won't move because they want the flexibility to take any qb they want.

i can't seem to find 'tading' in the dictionary... other than that if the rumor has substance and comes to pass, then it better be for either BUSH or SUPER MARIO. other than those 2, we should stay right where we are!

There's no way I trade both our picks to move up 2 spots for ANYONE in this draft. There's still value at #4.
