    He's not.

But like Tarkenton the speed is less important than the judgement on when to run and the elusiveness once he does.

Tarkenton kind of negotiated his way to more 15 yard runs than any QB in NFL history and he wound up with 3,672 yards rushing and 32 TD's on the ground.

Yeah, in all seriousness, Clemens reminds me a lot of Drew Brees too.

Early 6th round is what they had him projected as...in that SI link you provided

How far do you think he actually would've dropped?

When he gets a little more accurate, He'll look like Ken O'Brien with feet, but not quite like Gannon the Cannon...

I haven't been able to see him in action yet, but when I look at the stat line he does look a lot like Chad Pennington. Not that I have a problem with that. :)

Not a lot farther than when the Jets took him. I take the round projections by SI with a grain of salt. Clemens was ranked in the top 100 by most draft reviews, generally settling somewhere between 85 and 100. that would make him a consensus late 3rd round pick.

QB's are tough to call though and they often get picked a round early or slide a round or two depending on how the wind is blowing that day. The injury was also a complicating factor. Depending on how you had his mobility and potential for reinjury rated you might have him as high as the late 1st or off your board completely.

He reminds me of a young Kellen Clemens.

Ask me again in 5 years.

I see Montana's brain, Marino's release, Favre's arm, Elways poise and Cunningham's mobility.
