I am more then excited about the Steelers game. I saw so many good things from the Jets as well as a few minor problems

Kellen Clemens - Clemens played a great game for his 3rd start of his career. His numbers weren't glaring but he did play the best defense in the league. Clemens showed again that he has the poise to lead his team when it matters most. In my opinion Brad Smith should have caught that ball in the end zone. Its a shame that everyone keeps dropping his touchdown passes.

Brad Smith - I really like Brad Smith of last year as opposed to Brad Smith of this year. They throw him the ball too much. He should have caught the one ball at the end of regulation in the end zone (when he dove). The fade that they threw him probably would have been caught by any other reciever but if you noticed his verticle leap was about 10 inches. He doesn't have great hands, average speed, and average route running. Hes just not that good of a reciever. There were glimpses of Brad Smith from a year ago when he ran the option though. Hes more of a trick or gadget play guy. Hopefully the Jets realize that soon. As much as you guys bash him, i would have liked to seen that little fade thrown to Justin McCariens. He is 100 times better at going up for the ball.

Thomas Jones - Finally gave this guy his carries and look what happened. Great day for Thomas. We need to get him in the endzone. 0 Tds isn't going to cut it. Kudos to Thomas Jones

Offensive line - By far the best run blocking game ive seen from this young line. Hopefully a sign of things to come. Could improve on their pass blocking though, seemed like Clemens was under a lot of pressure which shouldnt happen when your run game is so potent. Kudos to the Jets O line.

Defense - The defense played their best game as well. Dwayne Robertson answered some critics and Harris once again had a great game. Rhodes, Ellis and Bowens also had great games. Kudos to Jets defense.

The Jets finally came out with an exciting defensive scheme that shut down the Steelers. Its a shame this excitement didn't occur until they were 1-8. Im so proud of the Jets for hanging tough and not quitting on their season. They ran the ball, they stopped the run, they played good defense, and Clemens once again gave them a shot to win. The Jets deserve praise.

one more thing. Clemens did this without his number 1 wide out. Look at Peyton Manning struggling without his. Im not saying Clemens is like Manning in any way, but he will DEFINATELY improve with the help of Coles.

On the offensive line, I was a little concerned to see D'Brick struggle with Harrison. Granted Harrison is having a great run right now, D'Brick is supposed to excel against speed rushers due to his footwork. I am not passing judgement on D'Brick based on one game, but I thought it was worth noting.

Thomas Jones has great vision and can make cuts to find the hole if he is given some running room....He also doesnt go down on first contact unless he gets lit up behind the line...
