the jets must upgrade the guard position.brandon moore is okay,as a backup. but he is too light to compete with the mammoth defensive tackles in the n.f.l.there are many very good offensive guards available in both free agency and the draft.they could really make the difference in the jets offensive line
Are you English or retarded? Last year was Moore's third year. He played 3 games in 2003, starting 1 and started 13 in 2004.
dude relax .. he prolly meant he is a rookie as a full time starter .. wuts up with all the negative comments?
We have guards. Maybe a solid backup to pick up in free agency. But you can't get a young guard like Moore for the money we are paying him.
I kinda liked when Moore ran down Pat Surtain in the Chiefs game on an interception and rolled on him...good times
not being negative, just truthful. rookie does not equal fourth year player. regardless, he started 13 games in 2004, so your point is moot as well.
in 2004 our O-line was great...when McKenzie left it fell to pieces until we swapped AJ with Fabini...then we were able to run more effectively
im happy with kendall moore n Jones from our line last year .. we just really need a C n a RT .. now that we got runyan ... all we need is a C ... n then we can just sign back ups or draft them ... n also preferrably RT n G/C projects for the future
want to bet the jets revamp the guard position? I would bet that the jets will revamp the guard position with bigger and stronger and heavier guards ,either thru free agency or the draft. dominating guards make the difference in the running game.we have time untill the draft to see if I am right.
Kendall at guard scares me in this new system. He's small, and has no power, relies on his agility, athleticism, footwork, and pulling ability. This is more a man on man power system.
Moore and Kendall are both very solid guards. The FO just gave Kendall an extension over giving on the Mawae, so that shows faith. OT and C are much bigger needs right now.
If he's there in the second or third, OL from GA Max Jean-Gilles would be a great pickup that I think could start this year. I work with a police officer named Marlin Adams who played four years of division 2 college ball. He still aspires to play pro ball and was invited to the University of GA pro day held yesterday. Marlin told me that out of all the players, Gilles and TE Leonard Pope looked the most impressive.
I think the Jets would be wise to pick up at least one interior lineman fairly early in the draft (first four rounds).
Kendall is playing C for us now. We don't have a clear-cut starter at RT or LG right now - we haven't resigned Goodwin or Gragg AFAIK. My assumption is that we will bring on O-linemen in rounds 3-5. I also assume we will sign a vet or two as well.
dude Kendall is not are center he may be now but not in 06. the OL will be Jones, Kendall, Mangold, Moore, Runyan " if we sign him witch we porbley will" but if not we draft a RT in the draft
