Whether you want him, or don't, remember this: Vick violates two central qualifications of a Mangini/BB player -- smart, high character. So you can close out this thread as fast as Marcus Vick can stomp on Elvis Dumervil's calf.
I'm sure I am going to get railed by saying this but this whole wunderlick things stinks to high heaven. Anyone else think it is suspicious that all the pre-draft hype for primarily Young but also Vick is so negative? Anyone think it might have to do with the fact that they are Black men who play QB? And yet no one has been able to post the actual test scores... And now there is all this negative press about Young's 40 run... meanwhile, Jay Cutler (who didn't single handedly win a national championship) is all of the sudden the greatest thing since sliced bread... This pre-draft QB hype stinks.
Jeff George received one of the lowest scores on the test - a 10 and that is right on with him. A great arm, plenty of talent but a horrible decision maker and a total headcase. Last time I checked he was white as well. I dont think that you can base everything on the test but there is enough there that along with someone's personality and prior behavior you can form a very good basis of how they will do in the NFL.
is it just me or is it funny that the person who made this thread (albeit has a point i like, stay away, which mangini definitely will) is mocking Marcus Vick, but spelled wonderlic wrong? btw vince young got a 7, and only because they screwed up (along with likely inside bitching from people with clout) did he get to take it again the next day. all tests are now going to be sent out after they are all taken, scored at once, then returned a week later or two to everyone with the correct FINAL scores (no retakes)
I think Marcus Vick has a lot to prove... I think he wants to prove all the nay sayers wrong. I would take him at 7 (as a project) But .. i dont think New York is a good place for someone like him (too much to get in to)
