I haven't posted in a while because I've been very busy with school, but what's the deal with Eric Smith. Is he hurt? Is he benched because Elam is playing better than him? Also how is Ellis playing? IS the poor run D his fault, the NT, or the linebackers? Thanks Guys.
Ellis is one of the most overpaid JAGs in the NFL. That said, he is probably one our our best defensive players, which is totally pathetic. I would sooner pin the Jets run D problems on the NT and outside linebacker positions. Thomas has been a disaster, Robertson sucks, Hobson is the slowest OLB in the NFL. To be honest, I am not sure what the deal is with Eric Smith. Elam seems to hit hard and play with some ferocity, but I doubt he's actually any good.
Smith has been in mangina's doghouse ever since he missed the tackle against the iggles in the FIRST quarter that went for a TD that this poorly coached team could not overcome throughout the rest of the game. He is not injured, as he was in on STs yesterday, and would have blocked a punt but he was held (for which a penalty was called).
