    Baron...

You have to understand, most NY fans are not used to not winning, and to top it off, the sub-humans (ie. Boston sports fans) are now enjoying a great time with all out success.

So, what do they do? They complain about fans, and get mad. Cut 'em some slack. Let them worry about "fans". while we enjoy good, fun products on the field.

maybe this NY fan is just sick of frauds popping up from under the floorboards when a team makes the world series.

by the way, coors field is not a "fraudulent stadium."

It's one of the best places to watch a game, and the runs per game are drastically down from where they were, say, 5 years ago. Jeff Francis had a 4.22 ERA. Josh Fogg actually posted an ERA under 5. Ubaldo Jimenez posted an ERA of 4.28. Manny Corpas: 2.08 in 78 innings! Fuentes and Herges were around 3.

Fenway Park was more of a hitter's park (team adjusted) than Coors this year, so call Fenway a fraudulent stadium first.

We're all just human. No one is better than anyone else. Things will turn around for you man, keep your head up. I have no doubt that it will be your turn again soon, but if it makes you feel better, feel free to call me names.

actually, I didn't call you any names. Cut back on the beer.

I didn't specify any individuals in the post you were referencing.

It's all good man, no hard feelings.

I am a Sox fan, lumped in with all the rest, so in fact I am guilty by association.

And the beer tastes too good right now, lol.

I've heard your propoganda before, and I'm not interested. Just look at their hitters, especially your MVP "candidate" Holliday and their splits. Any hitter with any kind of power shows drastically improved numbers at Coors vs what they do on the road. The only ones seemingly unaffected are guys with too small of a sample size or singles hitters. It's not just this season either.

Park factor is way too variable from year to year given identical conditions to even merit consideration. Go down the line for all the past Rockies that have put up gaudy numbers in the friendly confines of Coors Field. It's bogus and it creates an unfair home field advantage.

Where did the "fraudulent stadium" stuff come from?

In baseball, different parks have different home rules and conditions...it's part of what makes baseball fun.

Some parks have an upper deck that stretches out over the lower deck to increase homerun production...................so what?

It's all good. There are a lot of fans on this site that I have had great discussions with, and are thoughtful and insightful.

When I can't find them, I just enjoy the suffering and torment of the lesser types.

Always good to see you, DW.

  11. W/ all due respect DW,

You've been making this same speech for going on 4 years now on this site. Many on here have had to endure alot of trash talking from random Bostonite trolls. Additionally many on here do not LIVE in NY, and may live in New England or other areas where their happen to be alot of Boston fans, whether new or old.

All groups of fans have their sticks in the mud, but there is a viable difference between sports fans from certain cities. NY fans certainly have their faults. But there is def. a group of Boston sports fans who are extremely abrasive, arrogant, and frankly downright classless. And yes, it is not all of them...but they are def. around..and in large numbers.

W/ the constant success in multiple sports within the last decade or so for Boston teams...it's really started to get out of hand...and many on this site are starting to lose their composure.

I think New Yorkers take the brunt of what you are talking about. Fans from other regions don't see this as much....

Not including the trolls but we have to deal with the verbal diarrhea that is Yankee and Mets talk on almost a daily basis so yeah we're going to gloat when both franchises are playing golf while the Red Sox are playing in the World Series.

Well, now that's a bit ridiculous.

This is a NY Football franchise's message board. Naturally, there are going to be FAR more fans of the Yankees and/or Mets than ANY other team.

Honestly, I can't even understand how someone can root for the Jets and ANY team in New England. Yes, the idea is THAT foreign to me.

So listening to Mets/Yankees "verbal diarreah" as you term it, is only natural here. In all honesty, you should consider yourselves fortunate that we Yankees fans don't treat your threads the way Mets fans treat ours. Surely, there is far more historical justification for us. (And the same could be said the other way around, IF this was not a NY-based team's site.)

I think I can find something that the NYers will agree with me on...

These late starts suck! Does anyone on the west coast actually qualify as a fan anyway? Screw them! The real fans are east of the Mississippi, so let's have the games start at 7:30. This lack of sleep is taking it's toll on me.

why, because only the rockies hit better in coors field?

I've heard your propaganda before and it still doesn't make any sense.

it doesn't play as a ridiculous hitter's park anymore. look at the stats from the last two years. stop living in the past.
fenway has been more of a hitter's park, so maybe fenway should be disqualified too because of its quirks and the home/road splits of some of the players.

On that point, I can wholeheartedly agree. F the left coast.

I'd even give them an 8pm start. Then those douchebags can listen while sitting in standstill traffic on the way home.

It's not like their teams are ever in it at the end anyway.

Yes I know but it always appears in any Red Sox thread, someone always has to bring up the Yankees and then a Met fan will say something that provokes a Yankee fan to talk about the Mets sucking when both teams are doing the same thing right now and it doesn't involve baseball. Yes, I get it you hate the Red Sox, I don't need to read it on every other post along with somehow living in the region pisses you off. I got a suggestion for Kurt, let it go, I live it Pats country and have to deal with those a-holes on a daily basis but you don't hear me bitching about it everyday because guess what I can get over it and do other things that don't involve contact with the fans of said team. At least in Conn. you actually have other Jets/Yankee fans so quit making it sound like you had your parents killed by Red Sox fans or something to that extreme.
BTW - The offseason doesn't start till Nov. 11th.

  19. I have grown up in a portion of CT where the jets are NOT liked...and don't associate w/ many yankee fans(in fact 95% of my friends are sox fans). In fact before I got my current job, I did not know one other Jet fan, other than a pizza delivery guy in my town, and the people on this board.

My reason for such hatred is b/c I also went to school in providence RI. That area is FILLED w/ the stereotypical loud mouth Boston fans. I happend to go there during 3 Patriot super bowls and of course the sox WS. I could go into specifics of the crap i had done to me..but ill spare the details.

The fact is, I've waited a LONG time now to see the Bostonians be alittle humbled w/ their sports..and it doesnt appear to be happening anytime soon.

I'm sure many on this board feel the same way

Ahh, sorry then. Honestly, I don't go into Sox threads. There's no reason for me too most of the time.

I understand being frustrated with seeing your threads hijacked though. Hell, I think everyone knows where I stand on that subject.

In this particular thread though, I have to express my hatred for the Sox. I didn't complain when Sox fans did it in the Yankees playoff threads. The playoffs are a different animal. This is when you REALLY want your rival to lose games. I don't think I've gone overboard though. I'm not trying to get under your skin though. I'm just expressing my hope that Colorado sends your team home empty handed.
