That Chris Baker was scratched due to Injury?

Thats another black mark on the coaching staff. You scratch your best blocking TE, who is also coincidentally your best pass catching TE, over post game comments...?

He was limited in practice all week, but you dont even bring him in case you are down in the Red Zone?

I cannot say I am hapyp about it, but we did not lose due to Baker not being in the game. He certainly would have helped, but Ryan seemed to do a decent job in his absence.

If Baker was kept out due to those statements, then the coaching staff has to stand by their convictions. If I call my boss out in front of the rest of the staff, I have to be prepared to perhaps miss out on a promotion or a nice bonus. Their is always a price for your actions, and perhaps Baker will finally realize that now.

Were we watching the same game? Ryan's run blocking is average at best and I swear on a couple of the pass plays which went his way, I swore that I was watching Anthony Becht again (namely the pass he caught where he immediately fell down, and another pass where he had a bad case o' dropsies).

HA! I thought the same thing when Ryan went right down after the catch when the Bengal guy farted on him. If your talking about the dropped pass I think you are, it was a HORRIBLE toss from Chad and not even Baker would have cought that. His blocking was actually pretty solid yesterday from what I saw.

The Jets actually surprised me by throwing Ryan the ball. The TE is the most under utilized receive in the Jets "offensive scheme". But I think he was scratched as a punishment.

We missed Baker in the running game BIG TIME.... He's a very good blocker, and Ryan is the equivalent of a WR lined up tight.... He was not good AT ALL at the point of attack
