Curtis Martin? How lucky are we to have witnessed one of the greatest running backs of all time? Each week he brought something to be excited about. So consistent; diehard Jet through and through. A true model to society and definitely a person to aspire to be like. You think of talented sport athletes; how cool, friendly, and committed they are, but Curtis Martin was always beyond. This is a man who had one goal, Win a Super Bowl.
I still can't believe he's gone. As a Jet fan I go so used to seeing him consistently put up great numbers. He is a class individual and we should all carry ourselves the way he did.
He certainly deserved to win one - an SB. But, to make the HOF on shear accomplishment and merit alone in this day and age says a heck of a lot about how good he really was. I know he isn't in the HOF yet, but to deny him would be a crime.
We should sticky this thread, as a reprieve from the misery that is Monday mornings on TGG in a losing season.... Always lifts our spirits to talk about one of the best players ever to wear green and white....
Yea,...it says alote that this is what were talking about almost miday through the season. :drunk: The NFL is not as exciting when the only thing your team is competing for is the 1st draft pcik in april:sad: thanks for the video link, never saw that before.
i bought another jersey of #28 (my old one was just too worn down). Wearing #28 and #80 gives you a great and with the freshness of their retirement, a little sad feeling!!! Hopefully, we will be able to find guys, of who we can be as proud as of those 2 sometime again!
world class football player, universal class person, humble and hardworking, intellegent and caring, what a guy!
