So is D'Brick still a "bust"?

That was some pretty disgraceful bashing of the guy going on here.

Just people that don't know anything about football....i'm not saying he is HOF....but certainly not a 'bust' right now.

He is developing well and is certainly doing a great job in the passing game. Unfortunately his run blocking leaves something to be desired, so hopefully at some point he'll get better at that. Did he get beat last week against Philly, I missed the game.

I expect him to do just fine this week.

Schnookums, you have the wrong poster- I've never made one of those threads in my life...Don't have the time or patience to get loaded and then come on here and tell the world about it.

I was harsh on D'Brick in the beginning of the season. I'm glad he has improved his passing blocking to a level of a #4 pick. We knew he was very capable of being a good pass blocker. I think he will have a harder time being a better run blocker. We will need a stud LG to help him out otherwise we will continue to run right mostly.

You have to define bust in terms of what he cost, a #4 pick. Is he a serviceable player, sure. Was he worth a #4 pick and does that make him a bust? The jury is still out.

Lets not act like there wasnt a huge room for improvement when the season started on his part. to his credit hes done very well and has progressed pretty well as the season goes on. one of a the few silver linings in an otherwise disturbingly dark cloud.

  12. If the team wasnt so bad this year...he might get considered for the pro bowl. His pass protection has been that good.

I completely agree, and, usually, LTs make the Pro Bowl for their skills in pass protection, not run blocking....

Nobody, not even the commentators doing the games, seems to even notice that big name DEs have been disappearing against the Jets...

As our defense makes 2nd string QBs look like Montana, and our QB makes 2nd and 3rd string DBs look like Deion Sanders, D'Brickashaw makes Pro Bowlers look like scrubs....

Honestly? I think the most underrated Jet is either him or Cotchery....

Not only has he improved, but he has had a better season than Marcus Mcneil.

McNeil, until the last two games, had been horrendous... His pass blocking leaves A LOT to be desired

No way. He has clearly improved, but he is still only average and is still getting a lot of help. And yes, I watch the position very carefully....

Yes, but is the help there for Brick, or to compensate for Clarke next to him?

it is not just him, it is a result of the entire O-line. Remember who was playign beside him when the season started,,,,he was basically tryign to play 2 positions

He has contributed more to this team this year than DeWayne Robertson has in four years... yet somehow Furgeson is a bust but Robertson is not?
