"Jets caught a bad break on Donovan McNabb's 75-yard TD pass to Kevin Curtis, the only touchdown in Sunday's 16-9 loss to the Eagles. A replay clearly shows the ball wasn't snapped until the play clock had expired." http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/f...eric_mangini_puts_chad_pennington_on_not.html
That's not news, and it didn't change the fact that we couldn't tackle... But if the play clock were able to run past zero, it probably would have been at -2 by the time it was snapped... Terrible officiating in that case
It can't be challenged, and yes it was terrible. I understand that when it's close the ref isn't going to throw a flag but they didn't snap the ball until at least 2-3 seconds after the clock hit 0.
I thought I had rocks in my head, because I was screaming about that after they scored. It wasn' t even close.
We still lost, doesn't matter now. If we can't get in the endzone with 1st and goal at the 4, we don't deserve to win.
You can't challenge delays/clock situations and you can't challenge whether there was or wasn't a penalty on a given play. So I highly doubt this.
It is not a valid challenge. The NFL replay system currently only covers the following situations: * Scoring plays * Pass complete/incomplete/intercepted * Runner/receiver out of bounds * Recovery of a loose ball in or out of bounds * Touching of a forward pass, either by an ineligible receiver or a defensive player * Quarterback pass or fumble * Illegal forward pass * Forward or backward pass * Runner ruled not down by contact * Forward progress in regard to a first down * Touching of a kick * Other plays involving placement of the football * Whether a legal number of players are on the field at the time of the snap
LOL. Hell, I'm so used to our bad breaks -- that didn't even phase me -- No flag thrown at an obvious delay of game -- Then when they scored, I was like, "Of Course." Then I calmly turned to the waitress, and ordered another shot of Jameson.
That just aint right if your upset about the way things have turned out fine but to bash your team thats just pathetic man.
I do remember seeing that, but later in the game the Jets appeared to get away with one as well, I just can't remember when I saw it in the game.
Hahahahahahaha. What were you at the Draft with a Jet Plane hard hat on? You can't challenge that. You can't be all sarcastic calling our coaching staff magnificent and not know the rule yourself. You can't challenge that and most officials let you get away with that to begin with if it's close enough.
The Ref's have been screwing the Jets all season. Face masks uncalled, Late Hits uncalled, dont get started on the Holding. One one play sunday, DRob beat his guy and was chasing MCDrabb and the OLman had a fistful of jersey as Drob tried to go by... Yet, Harris gets called for a horsecollar, when he had a fistful of jersey.....
