seriously, the turning point(s) of the season was/were... -How the Jets handled the Kendall situation -allowing Revis to hold out and not getting the deal done sooner No, Kendall wouldn't be the solution to the problem now - but that set the tone for the 2007 season - that and the Revis hold out.
There was no turning point. But starting 0-2 with a team that was brimming with confidence last season due to a nice start and a new coach started with 2 straight losses and a hurt quarterback. Then we got unlucky in a few games that we would have gotten lucky in last year, and our quarterback regressed. The defense also did not make any strides.
Allowing Pennington back on the field, before his ankle was 100%. After the Baltimore game, They should have rested him one more week.
the real turning point of the season was the first interception chad threw in the bills game, nothing good has happened after that besides a few kickoff returns for tds.
there is no turning point.....to turn I believe means to change sdirection yes? we've been going in exactly the same direction since the opening kickoff of the season.....and the revis holdout? please explain how that impacted the season even in the slightest
There are turning points every game that are reasons why we lose games, but I don't think there is one for the whole season.
The two drops by McCantcatch vs. Baltimore didn't help, but we suffered most from not sticking to the plan of rebuilding the O-line and D-lines that we started in '06 draft. We weren't as good as our record last year, and having only two viable draft picks from the '07 Draft is hurting now.
The Mccariens drop. We win that game, who knows what confidence this team would have gotten and maybe ManStupid would have held out Chad another week
The turning point of the season is happening right now. This week. When the ship is sinking and your captain has a few things he can do to prevent it from going to the bottom, but instead chooses to "stay the course" and babble on about "consissency," you know you're screwed, blued and tattooed.
