That's it! That was chad's last chance! That loss was 100% chad, no one else! The D played their best game, the o-line played their best game, they running game was decent, the WR's made circus catches, and the special teams was excellent. Chad threw 3 INTs and that is why we lost. Now we're 1-4, just great. We have nothing to lose at 1-4, BENCH PENNINGTON and get Clemens some experience and a chance to salvage the season. Do to chad what we did to Testaverde in 02, BENCH HIM and let the kid with the arm play.
Yes But I wonder why everybody and their mother decided to make a thread about this. I guess hitting the New Thread button feels good
The last couple years db's have been jumping our routes more and more, now its not even funny every pass is being jumped before he could get away with it because he at least had a little power... Now his arm is done.... The last one by Ross is all the evidence you need. Its time to move on.
Dont bench pennington. Cut him and use the money that you salvage to hire someone to kill him. Hes a rotten peice of trash
first time poster..been follwoing the boards for a while..i get visuably frustrated when i see jet fans defend chad after games like this..i was a chad supporter coming into the year but now I have turned to a complete Kellen supporter ..without bashing chad too much he did have some great games for us ...Our O-Line gave him time today and he still could not make the throws..I am excited this week for finally some legit QB controversey talk...I think Mangini will start Chad next week and it will be his last game...Unless we can trade him to Chicago before the cutoff I think that woudl be a great place for him to suceed and use his "make them beat us" style of mistake free play behind that defense ..Win/Win as someone who likes Chad I can see him succeed and I think the Jets can get a high draft pick or Briggs out of the deal...Good Luck Chad but you are finished as a Jet
No sunshiny crap thread about its not so bad like you posted last week. welcome back to reality. Glad youve finally seen what has been so obvious to a lot of us. Dont mean to attack you but by me telling as many people I told you so might help me sleep tonight:wink:
Earth to Eric Mangini... Really man you have to be seeing the same FAIL out of Chad that the rest of us are right now. Why would you not replace him when it's clear that he's been just a weak QB since halftime of the playoff game last season? Why would you not put us in position to know for sure if Clemens is the man or we need to use our top 10 pick next season on a QB? Why would you put your own job at risk in the way that you are right now?
Finally The Time Has Come For two years now Chad has survived by playing just well enough to keep his job in statement games. Today marked the end of this era, and with that there is hope for the future and a reason to smile despite a terrible team performance today. Our franchise can finally move on and begin its quest to become a Super Bowl team, a feat that would have otherwise been impossible with Chad under center. We now have a chance, which is all we can ask for at this point. Though we now have an unproven quarterback, it is still better than having an overrated one (like the Giants do and still don't realize). No longer will the games be cut short to three quarters, with the fourth resulting in the opposing defense sitting on lob balls for picks. We now have an opportunity to come back in the fourth quarter, to put together big yardage plays, and to beat teams with spotty pass defenses. Thank you Giants for being just not-terrible enough to show how terrible Chad really is, no matter how much I love his attitude, drive, and passion for the game. Now we move on, now there is hope.
Our offense hasn't done anything all year other than Coles and Cotchery, we have been overmatched all year and I don't need to see sacks allowed to tell me that. Chad's poor play has you blind on how soft the entire team is playing right now
Chad is the main problem and frankly i dont want to see him, schotty and Bob Sutton on this team. I am up for firing both coordinators in the middle of the year and flat out releasing chad pennington. I am up for the herm edwards every job is up for grabs from now perspective. No one on this team has any heart. Mangini you are on the hot seat.
The O-Line looked great against the Pass , Penny had alot of time to work with in the pocket and im sad to say it but this game was ours and Pennington lossed it for us. Im never one to blame on just one player but this time i have no choice.
