Just the fact that Mets fans are in here posting with Bugs and Cleveland avatars shows the obsession with the Yankees......Just get over it. now BOT, I think Joe has gotten a Free ride at times and his handling of this team at times had us scratching our heads way too often for someone who is supposed to be a "Great Manager". If people are going to use a dollar Figure as an argument for A-Rod then the same can be done for Torre. Even though he doesn't play the field it's not like he's put his team in the best position at times.
This could help the team, as Torre's supporters (Jeter, Clemens, etc) may really step it up today. However it could also backfire completely
The Yankee fans I see saying that Torre should stay are the same ones that came in the Mets threads saying that Willie is a good manager and that he shouldn't be fired. So I'd tend to side with the anti-Torre people. For the record, I have no problem with anyone being "fed up" with A-Rod's recent struggles. What I have a problem with is people that ignore the regular season and say it's meaningless and that A-Rod is a terrible player because he's struggled in his last 35 postseason ABs.
It would have helped if you watched. Then you would know the difference. For one the batters were barely battered at all. It was concentrated at the mound.
Ok,the Indians avs were pathetic,but now the bugs? i find it funny,but only because of how lame ass pathetic it is. Your Mets have enough problems and your obsession with the Yankees isn't gonna mask it forever.
ill be honest if those bugs were camping on my face and my neck id get really grossed out and wont be able to focus at all. worrying that it may land in my eye joba still rules...and that game was simply annoying... and i can get over that but WE STILL ARENT HITTING
Even as a Yankee fan, I have to say that the bugs didn't seem to have as significant an impact on Carmona. And they certainly weren't the problem with Vizcaino, either. We can still pull this off, but those bats better start connecting, A-Rod (0-18 in his last 18 postseason at bats) included. Bottom line: Keep Joe, Can Cashman. If we bring in another geriatric pitcher and pay him half the GDP of a small country, I'm going to lose it.
Actually, it is pathetic that you people are using the bugs as an excuse. THAT is why I have the bug avatar. Get with the program, Sally. Also, I'm quite sure you'd be going to town on the Mets if they had a bug problem two nights ago.

Can Cashman?? You are nuts. Joba, Hughes, Kennedy, Ohlendorf are a result of Cashman. Mo not getting that huge deal was another correct decision. No way he goes.
