We're looking for points, bro.... And movement.... You kno why the offense never gets going? Poor run blocking + Chad = Shitty O.... We pass damn near 40 times, but the safeties still play 7 yards fm the LOS because only about 5 of those passes went beyond 10 yards.... We ran 3 two-min drills in that game..... We completed about 3 sideline routes..... A successful O can throw to the sideline without a WR getting killed, or a defender getting a hand on the ball...
all Pennington says is that he wants the ball with a chance to tie or win the game. well, he had it and blew it. and it wasn't the OL, it wasn't the running game, it wasn't the D. none of that mattered on the last drive. Pennington choked.
If only we had 8 minutes on the clock we could have dunked our way to victory ..oh wait great qbs engineer game winning drives in under 2 mins..ours didn't!
What game were you watching? he threw t interceptions, one for a td. Could not throw the deep ball and couldnt get us in field position with 2 minutes remaining.
actually, you can have it all. Chad Pennington doesn't have it all, there is a huge difference. does KC have it all? who knows. but even if he doesn't, maybe what he does have is better than Chad, but you'll never know untilhe plays.
Clemens was known for his tremendous heart and leadership ability at Oregon. I would take week 2, 4th quarter Clemens over week 3 Chad at this point.
LOL, you chad guys still saying everything stunk but chad today???Chad can't put together more then 2 scoring drives against a beat up bills, but still played great today??? How??? It was the other way around........... I thought we were playing the ravens today the way our QB looked. Check downs, balls battered down, receivers knocked down. The Defensive had to keep getting punts and red zone take aways, and we still lost??? Chad doesn't lose, it had to be Nuggents fault!!!!
Good NFL QB's, like Chad in the 2nd half, can win a tied game, a 1-2 point game, or a 3-6 point game with 2-3 minutes left. Great NFL QB's, like Brady or Manning, can overcome being 2 scores down with 5 minutes left. Two very different come from behind scenarios, but they count the same in the record books.
I think Chad will be a fine QB for the Bears next year. I never once thought Chad, during this game was going to throw that TD pass to tie the game. I thought the Herm "we play to not lose the game" Edwards style moved to KC. I love Chad as a human being, but i don't believe he'll ever command a Super Bowl team. He plays like Herm coached: scared. Trent Edwards(?) played with more balls. But hey, Chad was second in QB completion percentages. That counts for something except in the W/L column.
Clemens took a little while to assess how bad the Jet's o-line really was and then he said "Oh what the fuck, go for it anyway" and started throwing downfield anyway. The Jets looked more alive against the Ravens than they have since early 2004.
The more I think about it, maybe a 56 yard attempt by Nugent would have been the best play with 11 seconds and no timeouts, if you have a QB that's going to force a ball into coverage rather than throw it away.
The OL played well today for the most part, against a banged up DL. All the skill position players looked fine, except for Chad. Would should of had a 2 score lead going into half time. With the OL playing well for once, we could have pounded Jones and Leon the entire second half and made this a really short game.
I'm gone Thats I'm done with this team. As long as Chad is at the helm we don't have a chance. I knew with 2 minutes to go we were toast. No way was he going to throw the 30 yarder. 40 years of this shit and we have a promising QB on the sidelines who showed promise against a titan defense in the Ravens yet we play it safe with Mr. Nice guy. Screw it, I'm so pissed because had Clemens been in there for the last quarter I think we would have one.
Enough with the thread starting! You don't have to start a thread for every damn post dude, your flooding the damn 1st page w/ bs. EDIT: Good to see the Mods on this..GJ
dude, seiously...i want to see clemens take it over at this point but with the state of the OL it wouldnt have made a difference. we were lucky to only give up 17 points. the defense played poorly....edwards made some good throws, but theres no way that a QB with that much experience should move the team the way he did. it was his inexperience that caused them to only put up 17 instead of more. ive sworn off the jets before...but i can never hold true to it. by dec im screaming why do i love the jets...and by juse im hoping for big things...its just the way it is...
