I hope you are right. 64 yards over 2 games is alarming , although I don't attribute the blame on TJ solely. If we can't get 100+ yards against the Phins , well something drastic needs to happen before week 6.
As crazy as it sounds we did improve a little last week in the ground game. With Zack Thomas out, I too believe TJ will have his 1st 100 yard game of the season. I just hate how Leon is being left out of the game plans, he is a game breaker, both running and receiving.
With Zach Thomas out it increases out chances, got a good feeling for Jones this weekend, lets hope the O-Line can open up some gaps for him
Wow, I read what I originally posted, next time coffee->post. Yeah, I meant running also. Oh boy, your D'Brick comment is gonna get it as I found out earlier this week. Apparently D'Brick is going a fine job we all are just missing it. I will watch more closely this weekend.
No Zach Thomas will help.... I'm taking TJ off the bench for the first time this year in fantasy, so he better show up!
So after two weeks of being off, the Dolphins defense stinks? People forget that last year in our first two games our run defense wasn't too great giving up lots of yards to Willie Parker and Willis McGahee. It was in week 3 that our defense started to come around. I expect the same this week. Even with Zach Thomas out our run defense won't take as big of a hit as you think. Channing just moves to the middle and Keith Traylor and Paul Soliai can expect to see much more playing time. If you all are going to excel on offense against us tomorrow it will be through the air. Our pass rush hasn't been excellent and the Jets usually handle Taylor fairly well. Porter has yet to really make any impact this year. Most importantly, our entire secondary has been re-done. Michael Lehan will be starting opposite Will Allen (yes the same Michael Lehan that dropped a wide open INT last year on MNF that could've wrapped up that game for us). Travis Daniels moves to FS where he hasn't played since his Junior year in College. Renaldo Hill, probably our best DB, now moves to SS. So it's a complete re-shuffle. L. Coles should really be able to exploit Michael Lehan. I expect Chad to have a pretty big game against us. I just hope our offense can keep up. We haven't had issues moving the ball, just issues with making bonehead penalties, mistakes that stall or end drives.
I agree, his stats have been pitiful. But I like how hard he goes up through the line. For a smallish back, he runs hard. I am disapointed that we haven't seen Leon and TJ on the field more often together. I pictured them stretching the defense with screens to either side, since they both can catch. Also, what happened to the creativity in the offensive game plans. Its pretty much stopped since week 8 or 10 last year. Lets get the Brad Smith packages on the field.
there are many backs, who aren?t performing as usual. Many of them did see very little action in Preseason, as T. Jones. Don?t worry, i?m sure he?ll have a good year. T.Jones (38-109) S.Jackson (39-118) L.Johnson (26-98) F.Gore (38-136) L.Tomlinson (35-68) B.Jackson (32-75) R.Brown (22-65) W.Dunn (35-105) R.Bush (22-65) F.Taylor (22-72) he has good company, the top 4 Backs in the League didn?t already arive in 2007, too.
If we have any kind of a gameplan today , that should feature. Its also an excellent way of keeping OLBs and DEs honest and off our Chad.
You need to work on your trash talking, but good luck, no injuries tomorrow. I can't hate on the Fins anymore. NE is too stacked to not get 100% of my hatred.
