Why do this, i was bored , this is somewhat of a hopeful prediction on what i hope our roster would look like in 09, cause yeah the season has just started but i got a feeling its not gonna end up the way i previously hoped.I put this in another forum but nobody looks at that so i put it here.

Bolded are players new to the 07 roster

    Offense
    QB-Clemens(11),Kyle Wright(3)Tuiasosopo(8)
    RB-Jones(20), Washington(29),Ware(23),James Davis(31)
    FB-Darian Barnes(37)
    WR-Coles(87) ,Cotchery(89),Derrick Williams(81),Smith(16),Stuckey(83)
    TE-Baker(86),Daileon Farr(88),Pociask(82)
    C-Mangold(74)
    T-Fergusen (60),Chris Williams(75),Jones(79)
    G-Moore(66), Andre Crummey(63), Bender(72)

    Defense
    DE- Robertson(63),Ellis(92) Dre Moore (98),Coleman(93)
    NT-B.J. Raji(90),Sione Pouha(91)
    OLB-Quentin Groves(54),Thomas(99),Curtis Gatewood(56)
    ILB-Vilma(51),Harris(52),Hobson(55)
    CB-Revis(24),Miller(22),Dyson(21),Coleman(30) Dominique Rogers Cromartie(32)
    FS-Rhodes(25),Smith(33)
    SS-Gibril Wilson (28), Nick Harris(26)

First at Qb Clemens will eventaully take over and Chad will probaly go somewhere else even though i would love to see him stay as the backup with us.We pick up Kyle Wright on Day 2 in the 08 draft with Brad Smith as our main backup.

We'll sill have Thomas jones and washington but jones in 09 is gonna be 30 so we draft a rb james Davis in the second round in 09. Davis and washington will make a great rb duo with a thunder and lightnig type style.

At WR Coles and Cotch are still there but in 09 we take derrick williams in the third.Williams was considered the best prospect to come out of high scholld in 05 but hasnt really produced. He has amainzg talent though to be burner type/slot reciever for now.Daileon farr a te out of miami is a guy we could pick up in the late rounds in 09.

At o-line in 08 we pick crummey in the 3rd and williams in the 4th.Both are starting calibur players, with Williams really being a 2nd round guy in a usual draft but since next year is so offensive tackle heavy he slips.

At d-line we get 2 more starters one in 08 Dre Moore in the second who fits that 34 type end perfectly and Raji in 09 with another third round pick(WE do this by trading both of our 4ths and another pick).raji should be in this yeras draft but will reshirt due to academics.D-rob finally moves to end.

At linebacker we get Quentin groves in the first next year and snatch another lb in the 5th in gatewood a player who has had experience at lb and at de.

In the seconary we pik up free agent Gibril wilson from the giants who will be bring hardhitting, but i dont see us staying with him for a long period of time so in 09 in the first we select Nick Harris safety out of Oklahoma in the first. In 08 we pick a corner in cromartie in the 6th, tall guy who is a d-1a prospect who could see some time starting in the future.

i dont think coles will be here in 09, and theres alot of work that needs to go into this. It is a nice roster but the chances are slim to none

You must be a Miami University fan tho

Yea, Kyle Wright is a bum. I'd suggest you continue playing Madden Football franchise mode. Credit goes to you for mapping this out, but looking ahead TWO years is insane, and impossible to project. Impossible!

I was gonna say..... he is a pretty shitty QB, I don't see the Throwin Samoan being around past this year either. You do get points for thought though.

I have a tendency to look ahead because I'm such a NFL Draft nut. However, projecting future rosters for teams is next to impossible, especially two years from now. You may love Quentin Groves right now, but he may be on your shit list after all the draftniks pick him apart. He's also a top-10 pick, and I speak for all Jets fans when I say "I hope we're not in the Top 10."

I'm a little surprised you left Juan Wong out. I think he'll make a comeback.

I think Derek Williams is gonna make an amazing pro and would be stoked to see him on our roster, but Kyle Wright won't even make the practice squad of an AFL team so I'd rather see a name like Erik Ainge or Matt Ryan there.

If Moore is still the starting RG in 2 years I will drive my car into a tree on opening day kick-off. Then I will come back and haunt your sorry ass.
