Belichick to provide all notes, tapes made from sideline video recordings Associated Press Updated: September 17, 2007, 2:53 PM ET Comment Email Print Belichick on Pats' Win and Next WeekFOXBOROUGH, Mass. -- Patriots coach Bill Belichick will comply with the NFL's latest request in its spying investigation and provide any notes or tapes made from video recordings similar to those that drew a stiff penalty against him and the team. "Of course," he said, when asked about the request for materials. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell fined Belichick $500,000 and the team $250,000 on Thursday for violating a league rule that prohibits clubs from using a sideline camera to videotape the opponent's sideline. New England also must forfeit a first-round draft pick next year if it makes the playoffs or a second-and third-rounder if it doesn't. A video camera was confiscated from a Patriots employee during the first quarter of the team's 38-14 win over the New York Jets on Sept. 9. Goodell said Sunday he expected the club to give the league the information it sought. "I'm very confident the Patriots are going to abide by the rules," he said. "They understand that the consequences could increase." The Patriots beat the San Diego Chargers 38-14 on Sunday night without the video camera, but many questions at Belichick's regular Monday news conference dealt with the investigation. He tried to shift the focus to the latest win and next Sunday's home game against Buffalo. Team owner Robert Kraft gave Belichick the game ball Sunday night. "I appreciated it. It's a nice gesture. The most important thing is to put that [game] behind us," Belichick said. "It's time to move on." Copyright 2007 by The Associated Press Amazing that they gave the cheater the game ball.
Game ball and a contract extension. Like the ol' saying goes... f*ck up, move up. It is what it is fellas.
Let be the first to add that TGG has an NFL forum. Then again this is a welcome change of pace to a JMAC, Chad, Oline ,Dline and <insert any player coach> thread.
Being the arrogant c-suckers that they are, im suprised they didnt offer the game ball to LT... Any1 hear the report this morning that Mangini caught the Pats last year? Why was it never reported, especially with the NY media the way it is
This really shoudn't surprise anyone..I bet the game ball isn't the only thing Kraft is giving Belicheat in the locker room.....
Apparently the Jets say there was a second video where a defensive player was getting the QB audiables.
People act like Kraft didn't have full knowledge of Belichick cheating. The guy won 3 Super Bowls doing it, Kraft knows and doesn't care as long as the money rolls in.
I dont have a link but i heard it on ESPNradio this morning during mike and mike when they did the SportsCenter update about 9am. Can any1 else verify this for me
September 17, 2007 Bill's game ball By Mike Reiss, Globe Staff Patriots chairman/CEO Robert Kraft presented coach Bill Belichick a game ball in the locker room after tonight's victory. Also, Belichick took time to address the fans in his post-game press conference. "I want to thank the fans for their awesome support," he said. "I definitely felt that, from the time I walked out on the field. They showed up tonight. They were with us. They gave us some energy. We appreciate that. We have great fans. And we have a great owner. He's been awesome all week. At times, it's been a tough situation. I'm just glad it worked out well for everybody tonight." In the locker room, an emotional Tedy Bruschi called it the most satisfying win of his career. We'll have more in a bit. http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/ There ya go rookie..
What a friggen ass. It gives all the wrong signals to young kids, you cheat, you get away with and you get the game ball.:shit:
More than those *3 SB victories or suffering a stroke only to return to the field the next season? More satisfying than that huh?
Let it be known, I hate no current player more than Tedy Bruschi He's a piece of sh*t, plain and simple.... I don't hate him like I hate Brady, or Marino.... I hate them because they're great, and they kill us.... I hate him because he's an overrated, full of himself, holier-than-thou, speaking with a lisp piece of garbage.... That post game interview was just on NFL Primetime again.... And it made me want to punch something..... If I ever met the guy, I don't care that he's an NFL linebacker, I'd punch him right between the eyes...
Yeah but watching Brady's interview "the people have been doubting us for 7 years" interview made me go from respecting what he's done on the football field to realizing he's nothing but a guy who lucked out because his coach is cheating.
I heard after the game Brady and other players went to Belicrap and shook his hand, tell him congradulations. Beilicrap should have been suspended. There day will come.:gpc:
