Ok, so were in a hole right now at 0-2, and this might be the make or break week already, but this game is very winable. IMO here is how Eric and the coaching staff should gameplan Miami:

Offense- I think we have established our strong points on offense. Coles, Cotchery, and Baker. Baker was kept in to block alot this past week, but i dont think this will be the case this week. We need to establish the run early. Get TJ touches on the first three plays, even if we go 3 and out. Why you ask? Establishing the run, even shoing that your willing to run the ball should help either Pennington or Clemens open up the play action. Using the playaction should allow Coles or Cotchery to beat the secondary and let CP or KC throw over the top when they bite. Also, keeping Baker in to block early will allow him to roll off his block on PA and be open for the short dump and go's. Also I would look to get Washington more involved, even if you line him up as a WR, let him touch the ball and dance away from defenders. The last thing i want to do is get Brad Smith involved. On a reverse, under center. Coaches know when hes in the game something is up. If you let him throw the ball good things may happen.

    Main Points:

    1) Run Early and Often
    2) Playaction and Screens
    3) Tap into the "Special" plays

Defense- Well here we are going into week 3 and we still dont have any real positives from this defense. No sacks or INT's, barely even a hand on a QB. Keeping Mcgahee under 100 is a plus, but nothing that should be celebrated. When gameplanning for this week, im really only looking to make sure the LB's know their assignments, the d-line gets some kind of push, and the secondary makes sure there are no open gaps in the zone that receivers are not noticed in. The first two weeks i screamed BLITZ BLITZ BLITZ... This week i think dropping back into coverage more fits right. The 4 INT's Green threw against Dallas prob wont happen again this week, but he does stare his receivers down when hes gonna throw to them. With quick guys like Rhodes and Revis, they should be able to watch his eyes and see where the ball is going. Jump the route and we finally have something to celebrate because i feel it wil be week 4 before some1 gets a sack.

    Main Points:

    1) Blitz when needed
    2) Dont be afraid to jump the route
    3) LB Assignments

Miami is a bad team, I really don't care what people say. Their defense is above average, they can't run, and they can't throw. I'm really not all that worried about this game for some reason, I think against a severely lesser team, we can take care of business.

    Look at it this way.

We have already played the two toughest games on the schedule.

the Next 11 games should be fruitful.

We have the bye week leading up to the Pitt/Dal(THanksgiving) games
    That helps big time.

I don't know about everyone else...but this is a must win, kick the phins while they are down and maybe we can get some confidence in this team. But by no means is this a "cake walk" its a division game with heated rivals.....Phins will be ready, and i'm almost sure Green will have a better game. Especially if we can't get any pressure :finssuck:

We've tried that too many times and failed with this plan already this season. Personally I think we should try to air it out against them, not talking about so much a deep ball but a high tempo quick passing attack, to actually build a lead and then if effective try to hammer in the run later.

    As for Defense, don't suck.
